A very decent Punjabi and Jain restaurant tucked inside the bustling streets of Gandhi road. Prompt and polite service and a very cosy ambience. The food was yum and filling. Very affordable rates. Please enjoy the week nights with your family if you want to try some good different cuisine.

Good place to go if you need North Indian dishes. Gravies have good taste. Comparatively affordable prices as well. Most of the time it is crowded - all seats would be occupied. Little interior from the main road though.

One of the best north Indian restaurant in Vellore. They are specialized in Marwadi and Punjabi cuisine. We tasted the following Panner chilli Palak channa Pulka Special Marwadi thali Lassi Rabdi Paneer cheese koorma Pudina naan Panner chilli & Gobi chilli are must try starters Pulka was superb soft and fresh, goes well with palak channa, panner cheese koorma and panner kofta too Naan is also good. Special Marwadi thali was equally delicious. Thali can't be shared. Desserts must try are BPL, rabdi. Definitely must visit restaurant for tasting north Indian cuisine. 2 wheeler parking is available, 4 wheeler parking is not available.

Lalit vihar is very popular among the North Indians in vellore. Many students at VIT and visitors to CMC prefer this restaurant for their authentic north indian food at a reasonable price. Many of my Jain friends used to come here especially during a specific festival/ season when they wanted jain style food. The ambience is very simple and the service is quick. Most dishes are dhaba style. Rotis and other breads are good. One complain I have about their gravies is that they sometimes over decorate them with cheese or cream and add too much oil. Other than that, they taste fine. The lassi is decent, while the buttermilk can be skipped. What I liked the most was their rabdi/basundhi. It was fresh, creamy and just the right amount of sweet. Would definitely recommend for authentic north indian food.

This is a vegetarian restaurant serving North Indian foods. Tasted their Marwari special thali and it was really good. The portion served was enough for two people and the price was too cheap. The staffs there were also very polite and the service was too fast. Definitely a go to restaurant for those looking to have a North Indian thali. However it is located remotely away from the main road of CMC Vellore and space was a bit congested.

Good place for having lunch or dinner.. food is good, clean... Though spicy at times. AC dining hall also available. Location is a bit interior, but still.. worth a visit now and then.
