Prices are very reasonable. Car parking road side β¦.. must try mutton Biriyani ππππ
No upi payment accepted, only cash. Food was fine. Only vegetarian. Good parking facilities. Decent service.
Nice restaurant with awesome ambience. Dining area is really spacious and gives good privacy for the customers. The foodβs quality and quantity are good. Car parking is available and plenty. Restroom facilities are available and they are clean. They also have plat area for kids to enjoy.
This famous restaurant is located on the highway towards kanyakumari. We stopped here several times on the way to tvl , easily recognisable,Great place to have poricha parotta, briyani was normal you must try the nanari sarbath there it's really tasty π
This restaurant is situated on the left side of the highway towards kanyakumari. Quite easily recognisable from the highway too.
They have decent car parking space accommodating at least 10 cars at a time.
The ambiance is not as good as the one inside the city, it looks just like a normal South Indian restaurant (nothing special). This restaurant fills up really fast during weekends.
The taste is quite good, but not the best I've had in Virudhunagar. The other branch situated inside the city had better ambiance and taste comparatively.
The cost felt reasonable for the food quantity offered here.
I would suggest going to the other restaurant inside the city instead of this if you are having enough time to travel, else this is the only other good choice for parota in Virudhunagar.
Burma kadai is a famous restaurant for decades and I have stopped for food several times before. I came today after a long gap and was a bit disappointed with the menu options.
I've come here for traditional dishes like parotta, chukka and similar items. But the bearer tells more about tandoor dishes, grilled chicken and Chinese chicken dishes.
I asked for poricha parotta with mutton chukka for which they were famous for. But was disappointed with the taste. Chukka was nothing special and even newer, smaller places serve great chukkas. A lady came asking if I want mutton kola urundai and I asked for two, but it was so bland and tasteless I had to struggle to finish it. And to my surprise most of the upmarket crowd was ordering grill and Chinese dishes.
The place is now more spacious with more seating and more smaller dining rooms. But with a very average taste, what's the use of a great atmosphere. Disappointed.

Located right on the Kanyakumari highway in Virudhunagar. This restaurant is the best option for non-veg lovers. I visited this place for dinner.
I ordered Idlis with Ayira Meen Kozhambhu(Ayira Fish Curry), Poricha Parotta, Dosa and Pichipotta Naattu Kozhi Fry. Ayira Meen Kozhambhu is the star dish of the lot suggested by the waiter. It was scrumptious and went well with Idlis.
Poricha Parotta was perfectly fried with a crispy layer and soft inside. Chicken gravy provided as an accompaniment to the parottas tasted good.
Pichipotta Naattu Kozhi fry was prepared nicely with a lavish amount of onions and pepper masala.
Overall a sumptuous dinner. I highly recommend to those who travel to Tirunelveli/Kanyakumari to visit this restaurant for a good meal.
Plenty of parking space is available for cars too.

Amazing food. Poricha parotta set with mutton chukka was top notch! Must try!
I still remember my first visit to the burma hotel under the bridge near to the railway station in virudhunagar almost 17 years back. Still the taste is being maintained there which is heartening to see from their end. I had porricha parotta with mutton chukka. Mutton chukka was extradionary soft and awesome. Parotta with kuruma/salna was also too good. The service is also really good. The place has space for family audiences to have food. There are quite a lot of items that were there.
We always make it a point to stop and eat here during our travels. The food is consistently delicious. Our favorites include the poricha parotta and chicken biryani, which never fail to satisfy our taste buds.
Authentic hotel in virudhunagar. Poricha parotta, mutton boti, and kalakki was good. There is no non veg meals as such. Need to order non veg curry on the side.
Really loved it, the waiters knew what to do, what to offer, when to speak and when not to.
Food was exceptional, exactly as you would expect from Burma Kadai, interiors could have been better though.
Overall worthy of the 5 star rating.
