Food - they have large varieties of north indian & south indian food options & would suggest to try their masala peanuts & other starters over here. The main course is not consistent over here sometimes is very good & sometimes very horrible

Food was good. Value for money I would say. Best part for me was the chicken starter with barbeque sauce and the desserts. Loved the penna cotta and mousse.
The only hiccup to this place was the overly crowded ambience. May be cos we visited on a Sunday but it did kill the experience a bit. A bit farther seating arrangement and fewer people would have been amazing.
The best place have food at late night and it also have live music and bar I had yummy dinner it is recommended have a visit but price on higher side if you really want have yummy food price doesn't matter ...
Went to this place for a lunch during my vacation, nested upon seventh floor, you will enjoy the scenic view it offers from your table. The Live music is decent. The food is amazing and well prepared, Continental and Chinese are great option here. Dishes to try - Mixed Grilled London House, Pork Chop Robert, Pepper squid, Grilled Pomfret, Pork in oyster sauce.
The best place to have ur family time , nice buffet and awesome music if you are not a foodie then absolutely go for ala Carte it will take some time but your wait will fill ur hunger for sure

This place is very close to my heart. Was there with family when was a kid and every time whenever I pass by it is nostalgic and recently visited with my fiancée .. food is great as always.. serving should be improved... ambience is nice ... but they should change the interiors since it is just as old.

One of the oldest places in Vizag, this restaurant is a combination of great view, live music and amazing food. The menu is pretty lavish and service is good. Be sure to make a reservation before going as the place is almost always packed.

It’s great place with very good ambiance. I have been going to this place from more than 10 years. There is a live band as well. Food has been good most of the times how ever noting new or any signature types in this restaurant. The band quality has also been deteriorating from last couple of years. Need to mention about staff specially they are very courteous and polite all the time.

Horizon at Dolphin is in many ways a paradise for foodies with its huge buffet spread and wide array of hard drinks. Unless you book in advance it is difficult to get a table on weekends. On weekdays though it is less crowded with only hotel guests but the spread is not that awesome. But come weekends it buzzes with the local crowd. The spread has enough for both veg and non-veg lovers, be it from the north or the south. Even a good choice of Andhra dishes. Service is excellent as it the view from the top. It may be far from the sea beach but none the less gives you a great view of the city from its heart.

Its a nice place for dinners that can go a little late in the night. (closes by 12 am if i'm not wrong) The food is good. We had ordered sambar rice, peanut masala, egg fried rice and a prawn starter and were quite happy with all of them. We had a really good time enjoying the live band and their old hindi songs. The guests too can join the band and sing along.
The staff is very polite and good. live band playing old songs . Food is also good. I would not recommend to try pasta with bolongaise saunce. The view from the windows is quite amazing as you can look over the city. It perfect if you want to have a quite dinner with your other half or just have a fun family gathering..

Fell in love with the ambience of this restaurant. We were actually staying in The Dolphin Hotel. We went for dinner at around 9:30 pm. But no tables were available at that time. Hence we went back to our room with the assurance that the manager will call us as and when a table is available. After getting the call we went back to the restaurant. The ambience was awesome with live music playing and beautiful lighting and decor. The service was top notch too. We ordered Butter Naan, Dal Makhani and Paneer Lababdar. All tasted pretty good. The price was reasonable as well, considering the service provided.

Horizon is top floor of Dolphin hotel. They have live music and it is good but they repeat the same songs almost all the time :P ... Buffet here is good and they have decent number of varieties in menu. Mocktails are bad over here and most of the items on the menu are not available . Tandoori roti was salty garlic naan was bad , palak paneer was ok.. baked vegetables were okish apart from cheese on it .. few staff members were arrogant.. View of the city is cool from this place. Funny thing here is people get drunk and start dancing it's a place to relax during weekend ..cheers
Great location and nice ambience with city backdrop on 7th floor. Perfect place for dinner. Every evening from 8 to 10 they have live music. Out of all items we ordered mutton biryani is the best. Rest all items are also tasty.

The lightning is just perfect for one to enjoy one’s meal and not to forget the view one gets on sitting near the glass window side.
We ordered the Kadai Chicken and Muglei Kukkad. The kadai Chicken was an absolute delicacy and the muglei kukkad complemented it very well. Each consisting of 8 pieces we 3 had an hearty meal along with 6 butter naans. A special mention to the naans which were so hot and fresh that the smell and the texture made us jump for the food.
The food justifies the price tag and it is definitely worth a try 👍🏼.
this restaurant is located on 7th floor of dolphin hotel u can have nice view of city from here and coming to food everything here almost tastes well but not the best try their special keema biryani and lunch buffet which will not dissapoint u and the ambience was perfect wooden decoration and hanging lamps with live music & big screen for watching matches the only downside i noticed here is very very lazy service u have to wait a lot but its not a complaint if u went there for spending some quality time with your friends
One of the places which I have being going since 2004..Awesome place..Bet live music band in Vizag..Starts from 2000 to 2300 hrs..Advance booking must in week days also..I love there harabara kabab..Being vegetarian..My review is limited..Cream soup and sweet corn soup are well blended..Nana,roti, kadai paneer,daal are perfectly made..Staff is very good..If on time service will b fast..Considering packed house expect some delay but to pass time they give enough of complimentary munching ..Chips,fryms, buns with butter..Overall ambienC is perfect for romantic date,family outing,band is awesome with oldies ..U can request any song also and they oblige..Managers are also good..Food taste is good..U can call cook and guide him in person too if any specific choice..For my foot with 2 kids around 1200 bill is worth with soup starter and dinner and overall a lovely musical night...Great job...

Dolphin is definitely a place for fine dining. Horizon is a multi cuisine restaurant as well as bar. This declaration is absent in zomato. Coming to food starters are good. Biryani is fine but missed the vigor of spice. Nice setting for people to enjoy cricket matches. Restaurant has live music which is catchy and with latest trends.
V didnt like the menu for buffet lunch ...so ordered apollo fish ...taste was good , crispy loose prawns - yumm, kheema balls- very spicy v cudnt eat ...ordered fresh lime soda n curd rice ...the best part of our visit was to have chilled curd rice to beat the heat ...bill was 2000/- ....above starter quantities wil be sufficient for 2/3 members ...

Been there for dinner with my Vizag team. The place is beautifully located on the 7th floor with the city view on all sides. The place is spacious n very comfortable seating. The interiors n decor is very nice n looks chic.
We had our reservations otherwise the place seem to get full pretty soon, despite quite a large capacity.
Coming to food we ordered a non veg as well a veg platter. Good quantity n about 4 varieties in each. Way too spicy for my liking though my Telugu friends enjoyed it. The chicken, fish as well as seekh kabab were all so so. Nothing special in terms of taste. In fact seekh kebabs were not at all eatable for me due to the excessive spice quotient there. So was the fish. Loved the mocktail called cinderella. It was a nice mix of strawberry pineapple and cream n tasted great. Also helped me in reducing the spices of food. The fruit punch also looked quite good. In the main course we ordered a paneer n a Kadhai chicken along with Tandoori rotis. Again nothing great abt any dish except that they were quite generous for the spices. The curd rice at the end was good n creamy n the best of the food. I would not rate the food more than 2.5 out of 5.
Just to tell you that me, being a North Indian not used to Andhra food n spices, felt what I hv mentioned above. Maybe the locals will feel it's amazing food.
Before I forget I must mention abt the live music n it was awesome. Good enough to keep me sitting n listening. The musicians especially the guitarist n drummer were amazing n very soothing to hear. The guy singing old Kishore Kumar n some new peppy Arijit kind of numbers was good n was singing on our requests. 1 full mark added due to ambience n the live music.
Billing again was pathetic n they took almost 20 mins to get the bill. Service was also slow n relaxed though I dint mind it since I was enjoying the songs.
Overall a lovely experience of an evening if I don't consider the food n service part. Need to improve the food I feel.
Just above the dolphin hotel... View is stunning from above. Ambiance is nice. Service was ok type. Now food... We tasted buffet at 550/- plus tax. Only 2 starter. Big disappointment.... It was good though. In d main course chicken biryani sezwan fish n mutton rogan josh were d main items. Veg items were also there. The butter nun was good n the biryani the fish the mutton all were nice. The dessert was good also. Ice cream was less but other items were nice....

On the 7th floor, offering a mesmerising view of the city, this is one place you shouldn't miss out on. This place is an epitome of class. Totally in love with the wooden tiling on the roof and walls. The lighting is just about perfect.
Snacks are delicious. Main course, well not so much, but still good. A decent variety of liquor available.
A few more additions in the cocktail section would have made things much better.

Wooden house makes it look lot lot better. Birdseye view of the city is one of the highlights. Food was simply awesome, kebabs melted in the mouth.
Favourite restaurant in the city. Despite the fact that the hotel is in a laidback area, the restaurant is a complete surprise package. Beautifully constructed and with live music on the evenings. A perfect place to have a relaxed dinner and a couple of drinks.

oh my! a gem to this city... you can have a wonderful birdeye view from this restaurant . the moment you enter you are just wow with the ambiance elegance at its best. the dolphin hotel have 3 restaurant the best among all are woodhouse . so on a Sunday we went for a family lunch not knowing that its popular and on Sundays reservations are mandatory. so after waiting for 45 mins they gave us the private room. so we quickly inquired about food after there recommendation we all went for buffet and rest food is history. starters were on table and rest we were suppose to serve from the spread . soup to dessert all were delicious and well prepared. 3 types soup, 5-6 salad, hyderabadi chicken biryani,schezwan fish, mutton rogan josh, 4 vegetable curries and fries, Chinese food , south indian sambar rice, curd rice and beautifully presented deserts. we all ate for 3 hours continuous and finally had FOODCOMA!

What a view! Situated on the 7th floor of Hotel Dolphin, it offers a grand view of the city. This is the only 'family bar' I have visited in vizag so far. The service was very good, and our waiter made sure our specification was met. The constant supply of nuts and papad along with beer was a plus point while waiting for the starter. But it makes you full. Their menu offers a vide spread of cuisine. We ordered a manchurian, fried rice and Thai curry. Other things worth trying on their menu is the fish fingers, fish tikka and prawn chilli. The sizzling brownie was good, a little more chocolate sauce would do good to it. The food was above average.
One of my absolute all time favourite places to go to in Vizag. The whole idea of it being there for well over a decade just makes the place so special! The place almost redefines the Vizag Vibe! The ambience is pleasant but it's almost always crowded so make sure you reserve your table well in advance! The service is decent. Chicken steak sizzler in barbecue sauce is mind boggling! Chicken spring rolls, crispy baby corn and chilly loose prawns will bachata with your taste buds. For desserts though, make sure you try the dolphin tower. Five flavours of ice cream and great fruit salad with delicious cream. What a beauty! Live band is what sets horizon apart from everything else. Old Hindi classics, Bollywood and occasional blues. You can also request for you favourite song! If anything, i wish it was a little less crowded. Prices are reasonable.

The service is very good and its the perfect place to hangout with family. The food is good but nothing great. Its the same cuisine and nothing different. WOW for ambience. I have visited Vizag just for a day and wanted to have an amazing dining experience. This is one fulfilled my wish. Its on the top floor of the Dolphin Hotel. It has an amazing view of The City of Destiny. Food is also equally good. A royal dinner.
I was staying at the Dolphin, which is a very good hotel. About the restaurant, firstly, the view of the city from the top floor is breathtaking. Secondly, the buffet for lunch, was quite adequate. The soup, fish, chicken and mutton were all quite good. Rotis are served on order pretty swiftly. Thirdly, the service is also pretty friendly. During dinner time the restaurant has a quite swanky look about it. But it being a Saturday, the restaurant was overbooked. The ambience, however was good, attracts the cream of Vizag by the look of things and the live music was also pretty nice. A very nice experience overall. Would definitely recommend it for visitors to Vizag.
So this place has been my all time favourite in vizag. Everytime I travel from Delhi to Vizag, I make sure I go for dinner here. Its beenn 18+ years here now. Earlier I used to stay here in Dolphin but now i stay in novotel and come for dinner here atleast once.

Amazing place, excellent view and amazing food. Kebabs with draught beer is a must try. Best place to eat while you are around the popular Jagadamba center. Many recommend Duspalla but I feel this is better.

Tried the cream or chicken soup, nasigoreng, Alfredo pasta, virgin mojito, blue lagoon and hot chocolate.
The soup is perfect to the dot and is served with dinner rolls. (A little extra pepper to the soup definitely helped with our cold, haha)
Nasigoreng was was flavourful and delicious. The aroma was beautiful. The Alfredo pasta was a miss for us. It was bland and not up to the mark for a classic Italian dish.
The mocktails were really good and we're perfect accompaints to the food. The hot chocolate however could've been much better and maybe a little more flavourful.

I have been visiting this place since a long time. I love the Mexican hot pot soup, crispy chili chicken, golden fried prawns, fish and chips, chicken steak, of late the lasanga is good and caramel custard to end the scrumptious food. The band plays from 8 pm to 10 pm. The service is little slow but the staff is good. The chef is good at continental dishes. Mostly you will need reservations especially on the weekends. Cocktails and mocktails are available. There is no buffet in Horizon.

It's always the best. It has a fine dining experience with the best views of the old city. The band that plays old Hindi songs adds to the charm. Food never disappoints. It's always our go to place with family.
It is a good experience that I have never eaten before yummy delicacy...hot pot soup, crispy chili chicken, golden fried prawns, fishs and chips, chicken steak it is a first experience of taste.
We love the Mexican hot pot soup, crispy chili chicken, golden fried prawns, fish and chips, chicken steak, of late the lasanga is good and caramel custard to end the scrumptious food.

The place has amazing food, with good ambience. The best part is you can enjoy live music while having lunch/dinner, it is recommended to go in the night/late evening (so that you can have a good view), they offer discounts for military personnel as well.
