The place is too small with big furniture.... It's difficult to have a relaxing dinner. We were particularly unlucky to go for a date night to this place on a weekend and very loud neighbouring diners. The food was good though, not really overwhelming but more of comfort food. We will definitely want to go on a weekday here and try this place once more!

I dont do this usually but this place is a gem. We loved the food and the staff was friendly as well. We ordered one sizzler, fries ,a salad ,green day pizza, vegetarian chimichanga, apple pie and two drinks and the bill total was around 1700 rupees. Everything was great, special mention to the pizza and the salad. I was honeslty surprised at the number of vegetarian options available. Being a vegetarian family we dont get to see these many options usually in restaurants, i have to say its refreshing to have quite a few veg varieties here. Do visit if you want to have good food.
After looking for Italian places in vizag I stumbled across this place!! The ambience is very friendly ! We ordered the nachos which was amazing !! The Alfredo pasta and pizza were okay though not extraordinary!! The service was nice and impressive.. I would definitely visit this place again.
The aura of the place is very comforting. The mocktails need a lil improvement. The appetizers are just mouthwatering and the thin crust pizza is incredibly awesome. Wide range of variety to choose from. Bon Appetit!
The steaks here are absolutely lip smacking ...especially jamaican jerk lamb and chipotle chicken steak are a must try .... and apple pie with ice cream is good as well

This is the most under-rated restaurant in Vizag :-) Our fourth visit...this time on a VEGETARIAN continental craving. And as usual did not disappoint. The Spinach Zuppa, Lasagna Verdure and Florentino Pizza made our Sunday. The Spaghetti Genovese was slightly under-seasoned for my taste. Above all I love the service of this restaurant which is a unknown concept in Vizag. Previous visits (when I was not a part of the food review community) favourites include Cajun Chicken Steak, Mulled Wine, Chicken Risotto, Chicken Madagascar and Chicken Chimichanga. Will keep returning....

As you all read the stunning reviews of Kalyan's UPLAND BISTRO, I'm one of the old and repetitive customer to this outlet since its establishment.
Mr. Kalyan, the head chef & Chief of UB brings altogether the best of Mediterranean, Mexican, Italian, Continental, French & what not. Keeping their competitors within the same locality, UB runs in such an impeccable way with a variety of enticing & delectable savoury dishes.
DECOR:
Going through the narrow passage along the stairs, there comes a simple glass door welcomes us into the cozy little quiet place. The entire walls are painted with snowy blue with a creamy coloured empty photo-frames which may not grab your attention immediately but sometime later.
The seating is very simple arranged in two rows of wooden tables with unique wooden white chairs & upon which are the hanging down pending lights.
FOOD:
Starters - My favourite dish is KINGS CHICKEN PLATTER - a single dish having multiple variants like Peri peri chicken wings, BBQ Chicken, Arabic grilled chicken, Tossed chicken wings which is served with fries, salsa & a particular french origin mayonnaise sauce. This dish is special for its lingual luring appearance & scrumptious taste with the flavours of aroma triggering our olfactory receptors.
Mains - Another dish which I love is Mandi rice, an Arabic biriyani dish.
A newer dish which I never tasted till I had at this outlet is Risotto al pesto with funghi peri peri. This dish is no doubt to be highly palatable & luscious which is italian rice cooked with holy basil pesto, cheese & others and topped with spicy peri peri mushrooms.
One more dish is Thai curry which is based on coconut flavour.
I suggest you not to miss the wide range of pizzas & pastas which can be customised as per the comfort of your taste buds
SALAD: The BISTRO CAESAR is a parmesan cheese salad rich with lettuce, garlic & other veggies. It is exotic & unique in taste.
SWEET ENDING: I love the creme-brulee in this outlet which is amiable, dulcet & toothsome dessert.
MOCKTAIL: There are varieties of gratifying, redolent drinks which can be chosen as per your choice and I personally like VIRGIN MOJITO of my style with a salt rim & lesser ice within the drink.
Last but not the least is about the ambiance & staff.
The ambiance is exceptionally good & the staff are courteous, helpful & knowledable about the dishes which can be confusing if the your visit to this restaurant is for the first time.
They do not serve in a rush & the way they were trained to serve is exceptional.
Hereby, I recommend this restaurant to all those who are bored of routine chinese/ biryanis ;).
This place is the best in vizag even though not much people know but trust me there is no other place in vizag which is as different and unique as this one!

You may judge me for judging a restaurant merely on their ice tea but the peach ice tea at Upland Bistro is the best I had in Vizag. The one thing I never fail to order at any restaurant is peach ice tea. And this place serves the best. Apart from that I had Alfredo pasta. It was too creamy and was good. Definitely going there to try other things on the menu.
One of my favourites in the city. Love the food and the service. If you're looking to try something offbeat and delicious, go for this one. My personal favourites are Chicken steak Madagascar, Stroganoff, Cinnamon Latte and frozen mint lemonade.

I have got an opportunity to dine in at this fine restaurant a couple of times, it has got limited seating capacity. My favourites here are Spanish Zuppa Soup and Sizzlers. The menu was quite promising, though they take slightly more time in preparing the food the taste of the dishes is good. One can give it a try to dine in at this place.
Loved the service--very polite! The sizzlers here is a must try. It is different from most places with more than helpful quantity of rice and vegetables. The staff was gracious enough to throw in some fries as well!
First visit to this place. Tried chicken broth soup which has real traditional flavour. Very well done. In chicken soulvaki to my taste I feel chicken is little undercooked. Hungarian chicken sizzler is good. Can't believe the bill is below 1000 for a mocktail, chicken soup, chicken appetizer and a chicken sizzler. Very reasonably priced. Service is fine. Restaurant is small, 25 seating at max. Interior is decent.
Visited this place on our visit to Vizag for family dinner on a friend's recommendation. It did live to our expectation of being a place serving the best continental dishes. We ordered:
Chicken Steak Madagascar (one of the best steaks I had served with sautéed veggies, sunny side egg and mashed potatoes), Chicken Stroganoff, Lasagne alla Bolognese (this was baked with extra cheese which prevented from enjoying the actual bake taste), Pollo Florentino Rissoto, Pan Seared Fish (the fish was fresh and this dish was the tastiest), Italian Basil Paneer Skewer with BBQ sauce. In the dessert had Brownie Du Bistro. This was served with 2 chocolate dipped brownies and an ice cream scoop. This is enough to serve 2 people and even 3. Overall, this was a heaven for a Continental cuisine lover like me with plethora options available.
The staffs were very courteous and paid attention to all ur specifications. Only backdraw is that the place is too dimly lit, beyond ease. A must recommended place!!

Well I’m quite impressed with the taste they have provided but the ambience is lill inconvenient as in the day of my visit ; except that there is no other issue .The chef was quite warm and explained about the dishes available and told that he would try to add Atlantic salmon in the menu .He also added me to the Whatsapp group in which he updates about latest dishes.Over all a good place for food loving couple and a friends group of 4
The food is absolutely amazing!! If you are on the adventurous side, do try the mulled wine. It's a fruity warm drink that is a treat for the senses. Small place. Always packed. Service is great.

Saw this place when we went to FSM as this place was right above FSM but the facade wasn’t attractive and we laughed about them being able to serve 10-11 difference cuisines. They had all the cuisines offered written on their stairs leading up to the restaurant. (Thankfully they removed this now :-))
However a really high recommendation from a foodie friend made us visit the place and boy do I regret not going here before instead of FSM! Looks are deceiving and we were too quick to judge the place by its looks.
The food was really good. The cheese fondue with grilled veggies and bread was yum with delicious melting cheese. The grilled veggies could be cut to be a little bigger in sizethough so they don’t keep slipping down in the cheese when you dip. The chicken soulvaki was a tad bit salty (I eat less salt so) but it was flavourful. It was served with a side of fries and pita bread. The veg quesadilla was good too and the capellini florentine lasagna was brilliant. The shrimp sizzler had decent sized shrimp but the sauce, rice and veggies were all mixed up instead of keeping them separate. At least the veggies should have been. The creme brûlée was delectable.
Overall the food here is really good and the menu has a wide variety with plenty of options that makes you want to keep coming back.
The sofa seats were really uncomfortable btw, probably the only complaint we had the whole time.

Different place to explore different cuisine
A few of my colleagues recommended this place. Appetizers I've ordered were Herbed chicken broth and Chicken Soulvaki. The broth was a let down because of too much rosemary. However the Chicken Soulvaki compensated with excellent herbs (the pita served with this can be better). We've liked "Alfredo" which is Pasta with creamy Parmesan sauce. 2 dishes that blew my mind were the "Hearty & Meaty" pizza and the 'Brownie Du Bistrot". It had been several years since I've had a brownie that is cooked to perfection. Not hard, not dry, not gooey and not insanely sweet. Its a must try.
The chicken stroganoff was good, nothing extra odinary though.
Upland Bistro - Tiny place with overpriced menu ( My thought at first) however my mom and her friends highly recommended the place to me. I've been in love with the food ever since I first ate over here. The Mexican rice dish (I don't recall the name) was perfect, I'm a hardcore non vegetarian but the Cottage Cheese Steak is to die for and calling it perfect would be an understatement. The staff are extremely sweet and courteous at the same time. The food is TOTALLY worth the price. The place might seem small but once you take a bite you're gonna have no complains. You need to try out the food if you haven't or if you're a tourist looking for places to eat in Vizag.

Upland Bistro is actually a cute little restaurant above FSM. Its themed after an American diner. The interior is simple yet elegant. We just went here spontaneously and thought of having pizza. We ordered Pollo Pollo Pollo. Very lovely name. The pizza was very tasty. It was enough for 2 people. There were chicken sausages as well. I definitely liked the pizza. I haven’t tried the other but I do think this place is worth a visit. Although the place is a little expensive.

This place is for food lovers. It's perfect for a small group of 3-4. If you are a large group, it gets a little congested. Whatever the dish, they put their heart into it. Italian is their speciality. Must visit!!

we had to wait for 20-25 min to get the table considering the NYE and weekend rush.
But the food was awesome.
We had ordered fish and chips and crostini along with Masala Lemonade. Both the dishes and masala lemonade were nice.
The menu had lot of options in different cuisines. Was happy to see the menu.
Ambience wise also it’s superb. definitely a very good place to dine in Vishakhapattanam, since it has very few places where you can get multi cuisine dishes like pasta pizza etc.
Only price point wise, I felt, it’s slightly on higher side. Otherwise overall a great experience.
One of the best food spots to visit in Vizag. Amazing on the taste buds, prime location and aesthetically pleasing interior decor. The menu doesn't leave much to be desired and service is fast too, had little to no problem with communication despite not being a local. Abundance of good vegetarian options, as well, with something for everyone, it seemed. The place had enough seating to not get too crowded and had a nice little waiting area. Would definitely recommend for brunches or date nights.
U won't get any Indian or Chinese here only people with unique taste can try here.

My manager took us here for an early team dinner this evening. Upon entering this place, it instantly matched my vibe. Very calm ambience with classy interiors and very good music being played at the same time.
The food too did not disappoint at all. We ordered the following:

Vegetable Nachos
Started off with the nachos, decent taste and they served some kind of a heating dip with that in a very artistic style of plating, very balanced taste and they both complimented each other well.
Quesadillas were something different for me, had it for the first time, liked it but did not find it anything extraordinary.
Crostini was one of the highlights of the day. Amazing garlic flavour with the spicy sauce and melted cheese on top of it simply blew my mind away. It kind of reminded us of a Pav Bhaji like taste but we all really liked it.
Onion rings again, so simple yet stole the show. Nicely seasoned and very crisply fried, it was a great snack to go with.
Loved the Chicken Stroganoff, was my personal choice actually. The gravy was very creamy with good amount of chicken, mushroom, veggies and cheese. All of them together encapsulated the herb rice very well which had a very gentle aroma associated with it.
Both the pizzas were slightly on the spicier side but were very filling and at the same time felt essential to end the feast on a high. The sauces associated with each of them very distinctly spread their tastes inside your taste buds and made it a pretty nice spicy adventure, atleast for me 😛.
The drinks were nicely made, I personally took the Lemon Iced Tea. One of my favourite summer beverages and must say, it was very refreshing and had a pretty balanced taste associated with it. For the rest of the drinks too, the feedback was good.
The drinks service felt slightly on the slower side. I personally would've loved to start off my meal with the drink and having it midway somewhere was not very ideal but given the quality, I'm not complaining.
Overall it's a pretty chill and relaxing place to hang out with friends, go on a date or even just maybe spend some time by yourself munching on food slowly and taking in the vibe and enjoying the music.
