Food was good ambience was not upto the mark. Mandi available here non veg starters and wide variety of biryanis available. Taste was good I ordered chicken Mandi and it taste well. Service was bit late due to lack of staff.
Overall food was fine . Prices also reasonable. So everyone can try once.
It has its own taste of biriyani.. You should try it
Management changed and it's taste not like old one, it's ok
Other than the Biryani, chicken curry and rice is awesome. Not very fancy but decent place with a long history and it's spicy too. Those who love chillies and spice, don't miss it.

Maintaining Same taste for decades. Its real biryani with aroma of best spices. I think its from the time when very few know preparing biryani.
The place hasn't lost its charm how it was years ago.
Years ago when i was a 9 or 10 we used to visit this place for biriyani whenever we came to vizag. Nothing has chamged even not even the taste of the biriyani they cook has the same taste that it had yeats ago.

New Update :: 😞RIP to the oldest biryani in vizag...Recently alkapuri hotel was handovered to some other people. When i tasted the biryani n fry chicken ..the taste completely changed.It was not like before.

Such a sheer indulgence to the Biryani genre of the gastronomy! Im a vegetarian and my entire family lovvvs the Veg. Biryani here! Never herd of a biryani having fried bread cubes shyfully playing hide and seek in the rice. Oh such a pleasure that even the pockets find it comfortable! Yes the biryan

Chicken biryani (CB) is the best dish ones have to try for sure...
It taste so good and they don't use any typr of food colours while preparing the food....
But ambience is bit medium u can't expect Nov hotel range 😉😉😉

Oh! I miss this restaurant. I used to frequent it during the early 90's till 94-95. The Veg Kurma along with Lacchedaar Parotha tasted awsome. I am not sure about it these days. I am also not sure whether the same management is running it as its rechristened New Alkapuri. But having said this still
I love gravy here. Any restaurant cant beat taste in gravy. In my childhood the only hotel in vizag which served chicken biryani.
