Absolutely loved the ambience! Went their for a birthday lunch. The seating was wonderful and so was the view of the pool. The food was really good quality. Extremely fast service. Good music. Hospitable staff. Tried their cold coffee which wasn't very thick, but delicious none the less. Garlic bread with cheese was crispy and amazing. The mushrooms stuffed with cheese (can't recall the name of the dish) were very heavy but I liked the presentation and the Italian taste. The dahi kebabs were made with hung curd, so they were slightly sour but really good. They just melted in my mouth! I am more of a chocolate person, but I wanted to try their apple pie for dessert because of zomato reviews. It was truly scrumptious! Loved the flavour of cinnamon, raisins and apple. The pie crust was freshly baked, very soft and warm. I have only one complaint that the staff is slightly rigid. Our server was great, extremely sweet, quick and genuine. Yet the rest of the staff seemed to be quite off. There might be some reason for this. But my overall experience was great. :)

An old vintage charm woth everything so beautiful and romantic, totally fell in love with the ambience..went to celebrate my birthday and I guess it was perfect ending to it but little bit on an expensive side..
Ordered chicken penne pasta mix sauce (good), Carnivora pizza (must try) and Italian smooch (more like coke with lime).
The place is just mind blowing.

My top fave place near home, our fam loves to come there for a chilled dinner or lunch, the place feels like home 😍 great outside area and you can choose one of many sitting areas inside, all have different vibe to them. Food is fantastic, Indian and western. My fave are bacon pasta and chicken lasagne 😍 must visit for relaxing dining experience🙌

This place has a different charm altogether. Situated in outskirts of the city beautiful, it has been designed in a beautiful way with its vintage english setting. The food is great. Their brownie with ice cream was simply amazing. They can work on their service as the staff was little confused and slow. But a must visit place in chandigarh

This place is love! Elegant, royal and beautifully done. A slight drizzle will add to the experience manifold.
The staff is great and the food is delicious too. We went for Dak Bungalow paneer tikka and penne pasta in cream sauce. The paneer tikka was super soft and had a very amazing flavor of garlic to it. The pasta was done well with generous amount of veggies and the white sauce was just perfect. Parmesan crumbs on the top gave it an extra edge. A very happy experience overall!

They have pool side and indoor sitting arrangements.
The location is in zeerakpur around 3KM inside, its best suited to take your own vehicle than a cab because I had issues finding a cab late night.
The prices are little higher for food and for liquor it's above average. But this place justifies its pricing.
Its surely a good place to plan for a surprise for your loved one.

A beautiful get away from the city’s congestion, a place where you can relax next to the pool (how many restaurants in chandigarh have one), enjoy a stroll in the garden and luxuriate the exquisitely articulated interiors of this place.
Dak bungalow continues to be a hidden gem surrounded by high rise concrete jungle of Zirakpur.
Talking about food: Drawing their origins from famous food places of chandigarh ( like the famous backpackers), Dak bungalow offers a great variety and amazing taste.
One dish worth the mention here is Lahmacun Turkish pizza. I am not an ardent pizza fan , but this Turkish variant of pizza is a delight. A must have. A flat bread boat shaped with a subtle cheese entrant which makes it so perfect. Please do share your views after trying.
Coming to drinks , they have long bar menu but availability is an issue. So you have to be lucky to get your choice of drinks here. Bonne chance for your symposium. Beer fans can always go for kingfisher ultra max, the last resort, as it is mostly available. They are served inside and in the garden area as well.
Want to try a good calm place with serene surroundings and some delicious food, then visit soon.

Looking for a quiet place ...head to Dak Bungalow. Its even more beautiful on a rainy/pleasant day. I love their pool side greenery and views from inside.
Food wise we tried Italian and loved their veg lasagne and all veggie pizza.
I like this place for its classy interiors, quiet surrounding and attentive staff.
Sometimes if you feel you need a break to unwind ...this is your place :)

Over a couple of years various flats have come up around this area. This is a turn off but the preparation and service is unmatchable.
The wonderful aroma upon entering is met with delicious food and great service.

The perfect haute spot! If you really want to impress your date with good taste, Dak Bungalow is the place. The ambience is the best part of dak bungalow. The perfect combination of outdoor and indoor seating, the charm is hard to escape in the evenings, especially with the soft lighting. On a breezy summer night a candle light dinner by the pool side gives lovely moments to cherish.
The staff is courteous and you can dine in privacy ! We ordered Quattro Stagione , Irish Coffee and Dak Bungalow Paneer Tikka. It was an amazing experience.

The ambience is bang on and what is better than an outdoor so soothing on a sunday afternoon with warmth all around. Apart from the ambience,the food I would say is class apart but a bit overpriced. We had chicken tikka in dak bunglow style,veg platter along with cold coffee for starters. And roast chicken lasagne with kadhai paneer and garlic naan for mains. Out of all,chicken tikka was the star of the show rest everything was excellent on quality.
Service is very slow.
Highly recommended.

Easily one of my most favorite places in Chandigarh! Absolutely in love with their ambiance, especially the outdoor sitting! Limited menu options, small portions and tiny wee expensive but the place takes your breath away.
I had visited Dak Bungalow earlier but for a very small while, and yesterday once again I had a great time, an amazing dinner thanks to the amazing hospitality, great ambiance and lip smacking food the staff had to offer.
They had a poolside dinner setup where we chose to sit since the aura of that whole setup was soooo dreamy 😍 just like what I saw on my Pinterest board!
I ate :

• Chicken Tikka
• Butter Chicken
• Tandoori Roti and Lachha Paratha
For drinks I chose Vodka with Sprite and my friend had beer 🍺
The food was served warm and fresh, except the Chicken Tikka which, as per my pallet, I think lacked some spices and salt. Rest of the food and beverages were bang on!
Just that I believe, if they had like coal or something to help us keep warm during the winters, I would’ve definitely given them a 5/5.
Rest I can assure you, if you visit them at any given hour of the day, the staff, their courteousness and the whole atmosphere of the place will have you amazed!

Sunday brunch - I guess it's the time of week where you can get up late and wait for not just good refreshing meal but also a good place to chill and relax as well. Dak bungalow, the name is fancy and so is the place located on the outskirts of zirakpur.. It has a pool side area.. Order your food and take a sun bath.. And what else you need after a long hard-working week.. Moving to the starters, Galouti kebabs and chicken karela kebabs were so relishing and taste buds friendly.. The most important thing in a meat is the time for which it is cooked and the amount of spices in it..the chef has done a great job.. The presentation of food is so innovative and it's a treat for eyes.. You can order any drink to go, but kebabs tastes best with beer.. Dak bungalow greens was a great salad..
I think writing a review for this place is not just enough.. It's an experience and you should go and enjoy your brunch there.. This is among those places in chandigarh, that will never disappoint you..

The place is perfect for a Sunday brunch or for Couple's day out. The ambience is amazing and you would love every corner of it, and the swimming pool adds to the charm of it.

Coming to the food, my personal favourite being Pizzas. Have tried the Prime vera in Veg and Barbeque in Non veg and they were amazing to the core. So value for money.
Now, coming to the things I did not like was the vegetarian plater as it was completely waste for 675 Rs. And the fruit punch Mocktail which was tasted just like an ordinary tropicana juice.
So 1/5 for that

But you can just come up and enjoy the lush green ambience.

A wow place. The ambience is the oomph factor. The food is also very good. Parking and staff too are good. A cool place to spend ur evening peacefully over some booze. The only issue was the options in beers were a bit limited.
The place is really beautiful....the food was great....the staff was cordial :) ! We ordered caeser salad...paneer makhani...kadhai paneer..mixed raita and a bread basket. All of them were simply superb. They activated my tastebuds... and i would really love to visit this place again. The ambience was also unique.

It was such a nice day yesterday with light winds and clouds. Dak bungalow was on my list but it is always too sunny to sit outside! With the pleasant weather, we decided to head out. Dak bungalow gives you a cottage retreat feel with wooden accents and countryside furnishing. The backside is for outdoor seating which features a pool amidst greenery. Definitely a feast for the eyes and I do recommend you to check it out!

The pasta sauce was very fresh and I could see the pummeled tomatoes, it did not have excess of anything and featured crunchy bell peppers & olives. Parmesan was sprinkled on top (3.75/5). The drinks were refreshing. I had the mint (madness I think) which was the best virgin mojito type drink I've had (They probably make awesome mojitos)(3.5/5). The second drink was a juicy julep and it was similar to the mint drink but offered more fruitiness(4.5/5). The mint drink was a bit sour (I like sour drinks) so if you're a sweet drink type, opt for the juicy julep.

No doubt the ambience and surroundings is awesome interior is beautiful and seating is very comfortable their are no screens inside which is good coz it gives u time to isolate from the rest of the world and have time with urself with a beautiful surrounding around you pool side table is fun and food is good although didn't like their starter meatzer platter but main course was excellent special chicken lazania and spegati corndinor.

Dak Bunglow is located at busy VIP road in Zirakpur. You may feel some tiredness while reaching here. But once you reached DB, its ambiance will make you forget all the hustle of traffic. Located at very calm place. Inside and outside dining around pool, gives a very cozy feel. They have variety of cuisine available. Moreover property is also available for private functions and weddings. They have ample parking space. Make sure if you are visiting here with your friends or family, there must not be any private function there on that day. Rates are bit high and could be a burden on your pocket. Overall a must visit place and making the dine-out memorable. Thanks!

It's like a haven of peace in the chaos of the city...so easy to lose track of time in this beautiful restaurant. Perfect for pool side brunches on a sunny winter afternoon or any meal, at anytime of the day or year in their indoor seating which looks like to be taken from a novel.
Now coming to the food part.
Food here is good for the variety of cuisines they serve, be it their thin crust Pizzas or their lip smacking north Indian curries. Service at this restaurant however needs some improvement as we were charged a whopping Rs. 2,15,000 for a meal for 4 when we decided to split the cheque into two due to the carelessness of the waiter. But again the staff was courteous enough to help us in this matter.
Overall a must visit for the decent food and the amazing vibe that this place has to offer.

Located far away from the madding crowd this place is exactly what it is.. A dak bungalow.. previously a luxury pvt home this place was converted into a romantic destination restaurant... Elegant and cozy.. both indoors and outdoors.. you can feel the warmth and softness in their brilliant interior design.. outdoors again pink themed mundaps around a coolly lit infinity pool,it's a perfect spot if you wanna wow your loved one... Now the food.. service is good.. well stocked menu ranging from Mediterranean to Indian to continental.. bad thing.. no good booze.. so strike it off... About the dishes had shepherd's pie.. cooked well.. well presented and tasty.. juicy and mildly spiced.. just the way I want it.. the tandoori was good.. not great but good.. dahi ka kabab was as usual mouth watering..succulent and creamy.. the mezze platter was bad.. nothing that compared to the other dishes.. and not so pricey also compared to other high end restaurants in this range.. In one word A perfect date spot with good food and price.. would visit again..
Suggested by a friend we pondered on to dak bunglow on 31st december.... and to our surprise we liked the place... serene and beautiful... lightened up all around and just perfect.... the crowd was nice family gathering.... Best open dining restaurant I have ever been to. The hospitality, the ambience and the food, heights. So silent atmosphere with no one to disturb you. What else can be more good than this? Personally, I loved this place.

Crazily awesome place. Brought back the memories of childhood when my father used to be posted in small towns with plenty of natural beauty. Having said that I feel the place would be an amazing Sunday Brunch venue on a winter afternoon.
So we took up a cosy corner inside and started with our first course - mutton gallouti kebab n chicken varq kebab with some mojitos to go along! Unfortunately, none if these items impressed me - gallouti was more like a tasty mutton patty but lacked the melt in your mouth texture and similarly varq kebab was a fancy name for chicken Malani tikka which was a lil chewy and bland.
Anyway the main course made up for it. We ordered a chicken pizza, a mutton pizza and some chicken lasagna. All three were brilliantly done....just the right amount of cheese and meat in each of them. Each bite was a pure delight. Lasagna is definitely a must try here.
Overall I loved the ambience, the service as well as the main course. M waiting for winters now so as to go back for a poolside lunch with family 😀

It was a friend's birthday and as usual for birthdays we had decided to go to Barbecue Nation for its unlimited supply of food. We were just checking out the options until the friend who had to give the treat decided we will visit this place. Dak Bunglow is set aside from the hustle and bustle of the road going towards patiala and is a hidden treasure, the ones that is difficult to find(if you have no GPS) but definitely is worth the search. Entering the area gives one an insight to the beauty what the restaraunt holds within. Full with lush greenery and replete with scenic spots, Dak Banglow is heaven for the ones who are looking to get away from the very noisy cafes that have come almost every place in and about Chandigarh. You are greeted by a friendly staff who are ready to cater to your taste buds. The ambiance just as you enter will clearly take your breath away. Done in exquisite English format, this is such a refreshing sight to see a sitting just like in your home. A table is set in front of you and you just dig in their highly creative menu. It is difficult to order if you don't know what to order.
The first thing we went in for was the Paneer Tikka and we ate it, it was pure bliss. The cook made it just like an portrait of beautiful young woman, which was replete with colors, fragrance and an added sense of what I call divine taste. I had never had such a Paneer Tikka before. Do try it with the green chutney they give along with it.
The next thing came was the Chicken Lasagna. It was also an outworldly experience and brought a plethora of flavours to our mouths. It was presented in a very elegant manner which only did justice to that exquisite creation. It was very heavy as compared to the Paneer Tikka and was sufficient for two people. A quick advice-eat it along with the veggies that they provide. It enhances its taste.
For beverages we ordered a chocolate shake, Italian Smooch and something starting with Mint or lemon(I apologise I don't remember the name right now).
The Italian Smooch as cheesy as it may sound, was something very different from what I had tried. It was a beverage done in Coke with added herbs and lemons. I must say it is a must try.
The chocolate shake and the Mint something were almost memorable, they were just a little similar to a better chocolate shake and a better lemonade, respectively.
The last thing(we were three and we were already full upto the brim) we ordered was the Apple Pie. I am not a big fan of fruits that come in my desert, so I would say if you like Apple in deserts with ice cream on top and a perfect amount of sugar and cooking done, I think Apple Pie could be given a try.
Overall we were happy by our decision. We had found our destination for relief.
Ambience of this place is truly mesmerising, the aura is so relaxing and refreshing. I went there with a friend and it was love at first sight. The thing that I loved the most was that the staff gives you complete privacy and you can explore the place and take a stroll at the pool area. Coming to the food, it was delicious and I ordered for strawberry smoothie with food which was nice and the quantity was too much for me and my friend had beer , the price of alcoholic beverages is nominal.. This place is a complete value for money.. I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit to this place.

A hideaway of a restaurant just off Chandigarh Airport, Dak Bungalow is a salve for both rushed weekday commuters and weekend brunchers, who sit in the sunshine at communal tables outside by the pool in winters (interior decor is equally pleasing though). Try anything on the menu! The Apple Pie is a must have :)

Service: The staff is very attentive and well mannered and they know what they were serving with brief. The service here is very quick. The food is well decorated and you will enjoy every morsel you take.

In the Appetizer section, We ordered the pasta and veg crispy. Both the dishes were presentable and delicious. while In dessert section we ordered the apple Danish and it was perfect item for rounding off. The place also happens to have a beautiful lawn.
This farmhouse converted into a restaurant is the perfect date location. It is scenic and cosy, especially when soaking in the sun on a winter afternoon. The indoor seating and decor resemble an elaborate drawing room. In terms of food, Dak Bungalow is good but not brilliant. The Apple Pie here is a must try!
Known as the whispering willows, is a romantic getaway on the outskirts of the city...(u might wanna take the help of navigation if u r not familiar wid the location)....although the last kilometre u might be a little disappointed by the roads but wait for till u get inside....the interior is totally different from what u might have been seeing a quite and classy place....where ud like to go wid ur loved ones or else even a group of friends....the food and drinks are good...the service is a bit slow but nice...although if it were as good as the ambiance it wud be on the top of my list....if u wanna take ur loved ones on a long drive and have a nice time u should try this. ;)
An amazing place hidden on the chaotic VIP road. The place is a blessing. It has an amazing ambience. With a perfect decore adding to the charm.
The staff is very respectful and well mannered.
Now coming to the food. Food was good, can get better. I loved the cheesy kurkuri (don't remember the name properly :p) and fruit punch. Presentation was impeccable.
The overall experience of the place is amazing. A must visit for people who love ambience and feel of a place.
The best place for a quiet getaway when you don't want to travel far for good food and do not mind a bit of waiting for quality food in a nice environment. Love the thin crust pizzas n salads n soups n just about everything!

I love the aura and food over there. Highly recommended by me. The building that have surrounded this beautiful place have taken away some part of the beauty of this place but still you will love being there.
Beautiful ambience reminiscent of British era dak bungalow. The interiors are very tastefully done . Has seating capacity inside as well as poolside. They even light bonfires on cold days. The service is a bit slow but the food and plush interiors make up for it. Overall a must visit

The staff and manager were friendly, responsive, and made us feel safe and secure all the time. It was a homely time with all of them. The food served was nothing less than from our mom's kitchen. ☕️

This place is located just where the vip road ends. It’s basically a villa turned cafe. Interiors are amazing as well as the ambience. They have very less vegetarian options and infact their menu is limited. We ordered Alfredo pasta with extra garlic bread along with fresh lime. Pasta was delicious as well as lime was amazing. A bit pricey as compared to other cafe options but overall a good option if you are silence lover and want some quite place.
We visited this place on Christmas Day. The lawns were beautiful as usual but it was too cold to sit outside. So we got cozy in the Dak Bungalow which was aptly decorated for Christmas. Food was amazing especially the Biryani which is a must try. The food was a mix of Indian & continental. Minus one star for the difficult approach as it’s far from Chandigarh and roads and traffic are really bad.
Whispering willow or dak bunglow is located on VIP road. It is a very nice restaurant along with a small park and swimming pool. The food is quite good but experience as compared to other restaurants. However the higher cost provides you with a nice green swimming pool view from the restaurant. The parking facility is good. The most i liked was the ambience and humble nature of the staff. They also have a very nice outer sitting area also.

Whispering willows have a very nice setup located on the outskirts of the city in Zirakpur. I went there recently for a casual meet and the experience was pleasant.
The ambiance of the place is quite magical with a really nice and cozy sitting space and beautiful decor.
Gave a shot to their pizza and mezze platter. Both the dishes were top notch. I would highly recommend this place to people who are looking to explore fresh options in the tricity region.
Very beautiful restaurant ambiance with calm atmosphere. At first the menu looks expensive but the quantity is almost double in comparison with other restaurants. We ordered 2 vegetables and 1paneer plate for 5 people but it was in good quantity so much food was still left. Service is fast and very descent staff. Good place to dine near small pool and to click photos. Dine inside the restaurant is also a good option.

The overall ambience of the place is great. There is a pool, lush green gardens and the food is great. Definitely worth a visit. They also host a bunch of events ranging from fashion fairs, bridal fairs etc. The featured collections are worth having a look at.

Quite gem of a place in remote suburbs of Chandigarh. It is perfect for a date and to impress your partner sit by the pool and enjoy a quaint lunch/ dinner.
Food and service is up to the mark and the ambience is that of royalty.
Would’ve rated 5 ⭐️ if it wouldn’t have left a burning hole in my pocket apart from that all’s good!

It's a good place to dine in, you can sit next to the pool and enjoy the evening, they have an inside AC sitting nicely decorated sitting as well, a bit expensive but yes good to spend an evening with some one special and you get a valet parking as well.
