One of the best places. Non veg is awesome. Service is Great. Couldn't imagine that we would get such an awesome chicken Lollipop . Try chicken starters and mutton. Ambience is super cool. Extremely clean and neat place with proper hygiene maintained.
Ample of parking space available. Owner is extremely supportive and available at the restaurant. His team ensures all our needs are fulfilled.
We were keen to visit Desi Mood after we came to know that it serves Maharashtran cusine - veg & non veg.
It's tucked away in a quite environment among a couple of other eatries, off SG highway where Barsana used to be.
It is more of an upgraded casual dinning setup on container concept with outdoor and indoor seating at different levels. The sitting is comfortable.
The menu does have Punjabi and Chinese options too beside Marathi.
The nonveg menu has more options than veg and the pricing is reasonable
kothimbir Vadi - it was good and the green chintey complemented it perfectly
Sabudana Vada - it had a hard shell but mushy inside. Having it with yogurt was a new experience for me. Found it bland for my taste buds.
Chiken Malai Tikka - was good.
Pithla - was a nice Discovery and enjoyed it with jowar roti.
Chicken Thali - Had keema, bhuna chicken with separate gravy, egg curry, chicken broth and chicken biryani and roti. It was a spicy Thali.
Missal Pav - was not available 🙁
The tandoori prantha was just too good, made perfect crisp as per our request. Appreciate that they did consider our request and served the food accordingly. Service is good.
Over all it's a good place to enjoy nonveg meal. They were quite busy with their delivery orders too.
We were on food hunting on Saturday and wanted to try some new place and new dishes.
We ended at 'Desi Mood' with expectation that we got at least some good non veg food (as my husband and son are both non veg lover).
First of all we found the place very calm and cosy. Though area is not as much big, then also you can fine good sitting arrangements (there are three types of sitting arrangements).
Next come to food. I found Maharashtrian thali at there (which I was not knowing when we entered), and wished to try for that with some doubt. But the attendant was very good and he helpe clear all my doubts. And I ordered it. It was awesome! I asked him to make less spicy, as generally the Maharashtrian food is, and he made it exactly as per my taste.
Men from the family ordered non veg as usual, which was as good as the Maharashtrian thali.
Both types of food were good in taste and enough in quantity.
The attendant came to us in-between and trying to help us with any difficulty (if we have) with the food.
In short:
- good place to be with friends and family. You can spend peaceful time there.
- food is excellent; not specifying anything as whatever we tried was very good.
- staff behavior is good and friendly.
A must visit place if you want to taste Maharashtrian in Gujarat
