I accidentally visited this restaurant with my friends after a later night movie. It's was a good find owing to the lateness of the hour (past midnight) but the food options and quality was much beyond expectations. Located at THE BUSIEST street in the locale and with the service am sure it would go a long way!
Much recommended ✌️
One of the restaurants which is very consistent with their food quality. Have visited 4-5 times in the span of 2 years but everytime the food quality, quantity and service is consistent. Very beautiful ambience with top service. Must try Chinese and tandoori platter. Highly recommend for family and friends. Pocket friendly too.
Situated right amidst Porvorim’s commercial area, Turmeric Kitchen & Bar, Porvorim. has to be on your list for fresh & affordable seafood & other scrumptious meals! 😍
On my visit here, I tried out a couple of things. Starting with drinks we opted for 2 of their bestseller mocktails - Dark shade & Pink panther; both which on their own, were amazing leaving my taste buds pinging with delight! Coming to starters, we opted for a classic plate of Goan rava fried Mussels (Xinaeneo) - marinated in a spicy & tangy Goan recheado masala, coated egg and semolina that’s shallow fried until crunchy with a beautiful golden brown colour. Turmeric Kitchen & Bar, Porvorim make sure that the seafood is super fresh! Coming to the Kung Pao Chicken - a classic Chinese takeout stir fried chicken that is packed with a perfect combination of salty, sweet & spicy flavour and Butter garlic prawn salad - another banging dish - tbh it was such a wholesome meal on its own. It was packed with a scrumptious garlic mayo salad, garnished with perfectly cooked butter garlic prawns and other veggies! The fact that this was priced at around 350 - 400/- (had around 7-8 medium size prawns) this dish is a definite must-try! #THARecommends
For mains - we opted for Nargisi Kofta Curry - a hard boiled egg wrapped in a mouthwatering chicken mince, fried to perfection and added into a royal tomato gravy, is another rich exotic mughlai dish that goes perfect with Pulao or Paratha’s, however - I paired with the classic Goan Prawn Pulao - this literally was so heavenly!! For desserts, I tried out the classic Bread Pudding, a silky dessert that’s delightfully sweet- perfect way to end a great meal!
This is a really great place for family get-togethers where one can opt for indoor or outdoor seating. They serve a mix of Goan, North Indian, Mughlai & Chinese - making it an ideal place for kids & for elders as they have something for everyone. ✨
