We recently went to Alwar and obviously we had to try the famous kalakand or milkcake. It is extremely delicious and fresh. They had two types, the white one and the brown one. I liked the white one more. The price was 400/kg for both. The other snacks available for okayish, not really great. But the milk cake was like no other you will ever eat !!
Definitely Recommended!

Baba Thakur Das and Sons, a sweet shop nestled in the heart of Alwar, carries a rich legacy with its longstanding presence in the city. Renowned for its central location and deep-rooted history, the sweet emporium has gained fame, particularly for its signature kalakand/milkcake. The nostalgic charm of the establishment draws patrons seeking a taste of tradition.
However, the experience falls short when it comes to the sweets' quality. Disappointingly, the sweets seem to lack the authentic touch, with a noticeable compromise on taste. It has been observed that the sweets are made using powdered milk, resulting in a texture and flavor that don't live up to the shop's celebrated reputation. Despite its historical significance and prime location, the compromise on sweet quality may leave some patrons yearning for the true essence of traditional Indian sweets elsewhere."
