Good ambience. Good service. Starter which I tried was tasty (although not the quantity which I expected). Peach ice tea was good with a twist of orange tang in it. The main course was amazing ordered fish curry with white rice. Overall the place is good.
Fantastic place!! Awesome food and lovely cocktails!! The place has a very nice goan theme and nostalgia. The goan dishes are very tasty. The staff is awesome, well aware of the food and drinks they serve. Always ready to help and guide. Loved it and will be back for sure!
“The Best Goan Themed Restaurant in Bangalore”.
A close friend, my wife and I visited the place last month, on my wife’s insistence and we were not disappointed.
Location: Lady Baga is located in the same building as “SodaBottleOpenerWala” opposite Harley Davidson Showroom on Lavelle Road.
Ambience: It is indeed the best Goan themed restaurant in Bangalore. They have two floors. The first floor is A/C and have one section where the tables are actually set on real sand which gives you a feel of having food in a beach side shack. They also have a small store setup like a Goan flea market. The top/second floor is also beautifully set. There is an actual matador painted in bright colours like a real hippie van.
Food: We were availing zomato gold offer and opted for “Lemon Butter Garlic Calamari”, “Sungta Maria” and “Father Lorenzo's Chorizo” in starters and “Chef Aloo's Prawn Curry with Red Rice” in main course.
Lemon Butter Garlic Calamari: A slightly sour version of goan butter garlic calamari, the lemon gives it an unique flavor.
Sungta Maria: Goan style masala prawns on bite size fried toasts. It was flavorful and the spices were very fresh. Although I found it little salty to my choice.
Father Lorenzo’s Chorizo: This was wow 😊
Chef Aloo's Prawn Curry with Red Rice: The best dish out of the four, a magic created with prawn and okra. The curry comes with brown rice, fried anchovy, kismur and tendli pickle. Tendli (tindora / ivy gourd) pickle was really unique.
Happy hours were on and we selected “The Fisherman's Tonic” from their happy hours menu (1+1). The drink was kokum based and I really loved it.
Service: Service was pretty good, staffs were prompt and responsive. They even allowed us to avail both Zomato Gold as well as the Happy Hours offer.
If you are a fan of Goan food and ready to try something unique created keeping Goan food lovers in mind, I strongly recommend you to pay a visit to Lady Baga.
