Good food, Service can be better
We were here at 8.45am considering it opens at 8,there were a few items not yet ready on the menu. The two waiters tried their best but seemed overwhelmed by the number of customers. So there is scope for improvement here.
The food was delicious. Expensive for ur usual idly vada dosa affair but well made. Each of their items tries to be apart from the usual Darshanis crowd by one way or the other. For example it's a green chutney inside masala dosa and a small cup of ghee that accompanied idly vada. The vada was exceptional. The coffee however was very average.
The staffs are well cultured, the environment is good even though cozy. Loved the south Indian food they offer. The one and only problem I found is of parking four wheels, can be a tough job though.
Sweets, MTR ready made mix masala are also available and the highlights! The sweets are really tasty and awesome. As it is a standard bakery cum restaurant, payment can be made on card on any purchase.
Recommended for the South Indian foodies like me and well Sweet lovers can sail in the boat of heaven.

Where was this jewel hiding? Being a Bangalorean i very well know about MTR and its legacy. Having visited and eaten meals at MTR in Forum Value Mall I wasn't actually impressed but today when I took my family to commercial street branch of MTR a nice surprise awaited me.
The cleanliness inside and professionalism of staff is impeccable. Placing order didn't take much and time and those dishes which got ready were served to us promptly.
Rava idli was unlike I ever tasted anywhere else. Mildly spicy and fluffy, we gulped it down in no time. Accompanying sagu and chutney were tasty as well. Then came neer dosa with coconut and jaggery. That sweet dish was out of this world. Although I felt that neer dosa was slightly undercooked. Nevertheless, last item of the evening was rava masala dosa which was amazingly crispy and tasty. Again, the style here was different than I had tasted in other restaurants. Ohh I almost forgot about the coffee, a little too strong for me but other members of the party loved it.
Looking forward to visiting this place again.
