I have been here umpteen times since I moved to Bangalore 1.5 decades ago. But today let me share my latest experience during my visit this week.
To commemorate the Chinese New Year of Rat in January , the Mainland China is serving a special menu all this month. I was tried some of the dishes from their menu and was delighted with the efforts of their chef who have rolled out some outstanding dishes.
Food unites people and is no longer restricted to a particular region. It is a means of survival yet a source of pleasure through its culinary intricacy and sophistication. Global Cuisines from across the world are now available everywhere. The style of preparation style, cooking techniques, ingredients are inspired from different cultures and influence each other. Mainland China has emerged as one of the best restaurants serving some premium Chinese Dishes in Bangalore. The Aroma, appearance, taste and atmosphere of this place is top notch. There are 7 outlets in multiple localities across Bangalore and is expanding.
Food- Mocktail Drinks are splendid and refreshing. My favorite was the peachy mangifera. Appetising Starters. Impressive Plating. Elaborate menu with a large variety of options to choose from. Impeccable Quality. Though nothing exceptional, each dish is elevated a level higher than competitors making it fabulous. The dynamite prawns were outstanding. Soft, fresh and Marinated well. Smoked Duck rolls were incredible. Succulent and nicely seasoned stuffing with a fried outer layer. Highly recommended. Loved the brilliant Chicken Sui Mai Dimsum. Juicy and steamed to perfection with an explosion of flavors.
For main course, Fried Rice with Chilli Chicken Gravy as well as Burnt Garlic fish was remarkable. Rightly balanced and distinguished taste, texture, richness and spice.
Other fantastic dishes that I relished and deserve a special mention are the Crispy lotus Stem with and also Pepper Chicken. Harmony of sweet, sour, and salty flavors really excites the palate.
However the I felt the Pan Asian fish was average and can be improved. Japanese Wheat Noodles was ordinary and should be better.
The amazing Chocolate Dome caramel popcorn dessert was heavenly bliss. A Delightful culmination to a superb meal. Enjoyed the enigma as the warm chocolate sauce melts the sphere to reveal its secrets which is some delicious brownie and ice cream. (7/10)
Ambience- Simple yet elegant neat decor that gives it a posh feel. Well planned layout. Spacious arrangement. Spectacular Sculptures and Statues. Great music and air conditioning. Beautiful Chinese paintings adorn the walls. Colorful vases add to the attractive look. Comfortable chairs and sofas for seating. Nice flooring, bright lighting, wall designs and exquisite wooden furniture makes the interiors marvelous. (8/10)
Service- Excellent. Wonderful Hospitality. Quintessential fine dining experience. Waiters are quick, attentive and efficient. Staff is knowledgeable, courteous and well trained. They make you feel welcome and serve with a smile. Valet Parking Available. (8/10)
Will definitely visit again to satisfy cravings. It was not only a feast for the tummy but also a treat for the eyes. Nevertheless, Pricing is on the higher side making it an expensive choice. Would like to end with A Chinese proverb which states: “Food is the heaven of the masses”. Live to Eat!
Food was really good & delicious. I had nonveg buffet & believe me guys it is worth the penny. Fish under the starter was worth a try. This is among the few restaurants which provide crab under its menu. So seafood lovers dont miss this. It was really crispy & delicious. Veg starter was equally good but main course is a bit dull. however worth a try guys.
