The earliest memory of this restaurant I have is the week it opened. Some of us decided to try it out and they had a set meal in veg and non veg apart from the ala carte. They were so good that we pretty much went there every alternate week until they stopped and started a buffet. But this was years ago.
Last week a friend and I had to have a working lunch. We decided to spend some time over lunch here as it is normally quite peaceful.
The interiors are pretty much the same, I wouldn’t complain as for a working lunch this is fine. They could do with a little more cheerful colors or theme, but that’s a personal opinion.
We were greeted by their staff and were suggested to have their non veg curry set meal.
As we worked the meals arrived quickly. It had a pudina fried rice, Chicken kababs, chicken curry, chapattis, dal and pickle. Gulab jamoon and ice cream came as desserts.
The Pudina fried rice was good but the pudina itself was a bit dry. The chicken kababs were really nice and the chapattis fresh and soft.
The issue was with the chicken curry. While it tasted good, it was definitely not fresh. Both of us felt that it was reheated and the smell itself wasn’t very pleasing.
The Dal shouldn’t have been in the plate. It neither had spices nor salt and tasted really really bland.
The pickle was nice.
The Gulab jamoon again was doughy and had a thick rubbery texture.
The staff were polite but the experience leaves me with a big question. What changed? Though I didn’t write reviews then, I had rated this place 4.5 on Zomato. With several offices close by, they could really do well.
And at nearly 320 bucks per meal, it’s just not worth the money. In fact decent non veg combo meals are available fresh at half the price right here in Domlur.
Was passing by during meal time near Domlur and we were searching for some restaurant near us to finish with our Lunch and we came by Avanti Indian Barbeque and Grill and decided our search ends here. Stepped inside the atmosphere was nice and inviting. Staff very courteous and we ordered Andhra Fish Curry with plain rice was a complete meal in itself. Love the fish gravy too much... if we pass by again its a must stop.
had a great dinner. 700/- for two. Non Veg Combo meal was a great feast. nice ambiance. Good food. they have great breakfast and lunch too
