Unlike a typical restaurant, Lipi promises an extraordinary dining experience! They have a unique menu with signature dishes created by the chefs using Indian ingredients as base. The cutlery used, lively music, plating and presentation of every dish are quite impressive! I must say I tasted the best of Indian cuisine at Lipi. The staff are polite, service was great and it was a sweet gesture to give us a little takeaway gift along with a hand-written thank you note Overall I would definitely recommend this place for any food-lover looking for a unique dining experience in Bangalore! Total value for money! I would love to visit again
Their unique concept of ‘mindful eating’ is lovely. The ambience, food and presentation was excellent! Do go there if you like to try new food experiences. :)
I adore food and the sentiment I associate with food is something deep set and ages old. It's nostalgia and a dive into old memories of eating sambar rice on a rainy day and trying out a fancy new recipe mum came up with. I've never liked fine dining, mainly because I thought it was a waste of money. Ladies and Gentlemen, prepare to have your minds blown.
Lipi changed that. Lipi took all the above and customised my experience in such a way that I'm now officially converted. And I'm not an easy person to please. Madhu and Sudha was so polite and friendly whilst also staying extremely professional. Every single element of their restaurant held a backstory and a personal anecdote. Varun with his understanding of intricate flavours managed to play around with our tastebuds and Surjeeth ensuring that everything was plated beautifully and served on time.
The Tomato course and 'Kari' (a beautiful mushroom and peas course) were my favourite. They added these cute little elements with stoppered bottled with this tomato broth (there's a surprise element hidden at the bottom of that little bottle of joy) and little personalised letters with a jar of all things beautiful and wholesome to take back home in case you missed them too much. I wasn't eating meat that night but from the reviews around the table, their meat dishes were phenomenonal. I'm heading there again this week to try out their new menu. They also brew their own beverages and every course comes with an accompanied brew that pairs perfectly with your dish.
Lipi was brilliant and the experience they provide you is WAAAY more than what you pay for especially considering the fact that they're trying to actually help local farmers and bring about more awareness of forgotten local cuisine to the fine dining culture in Bangalore. Every bangalorean should go here at least once.
