The best thing about this place is that the food tasted excellent. The spread was great and the service was amazing. There was a good amount of spread for vegetarians considering the fact that it offered both veg and non-veg options.
The desserts were excellent. The only catch here is that the special buffet price of 599 rupees is just during the 12 PM to 1 PM time slot. It is worth remembering this as I was not able to find this info anywhere else. The regular price is 899 rupees. Also, this place needs an advanced booking. It is a place worth visiting if money is not a bar for you.
ZEST : Levelle Road
Very Good
We ordered a Buffet Meal
1. Starters : 3 out of 5 .
They had range of starters from : Chicken, Fish to Paneer and many other, all tasted good. The fried ones were very unhealthy, the grilled ones were good.
2. Chicken : 4 stars out of 5
3. Mutton : 3 stars. Gravy was tasty
4. Fish Curry : 4 stars, i think it was Basa, which does not have an inheritent taste, otherwise the sauce and cooking was very good.
5. Deserts : I tried Fruit cake and Mango Mousse, both brilliant. Other freinds tried many other deserts, all appreciated.
6. Veg Biryani with Raita : 1 star, very poor biryani, it was a chicken puloa.
6. Pricing : 1000 per person
7. Ambience : 5 stars Neat and clean with descent seating
8. Toilets : 3 stars, never given 5 Stars ever, very clean and maintained.
9. SERVICE : 4 stars, pathetic
10. PARKING : 1 Star, for bike it was too narrow at the back of the building and employee vehicle took all space.
Car oarking can be equally challenging.
10. Wait time : Buffet was ready, chaoatis took no time to come.
TURN OFF :
1. Parking and busy locality
I visited zest for dinner on a weekday, it can accommodate around 70 people, luckily when we went, we got the last table, we went at 7:45, it was already filled. We tried calling them to reserve a table but the phone was switched off.
AMBIENCE is good, would liked some good music, but they didn't play any, all I could hear was loud giggles, people shouting as there were lot of group gatherings.
FOOD - I would like to give 4 stars, as mentioned there were lot of dishes, but not sure if it was 65+. Starters were served to the table, there were almost 8 varieties including veg and non veg. There is live chaat counter, the main course is served at the buffet counter. Everything was good except for the mutton curry, it was not cooked properly and was very hard.
The salad spread was great.
DESSERTS - Indian sweets were great, but the pastries were very dry and I was disappointed.
There are different options for drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic)with additional charges, but found it little expensive.
The staff were friendly and active.
