Located in a very busy place opposite to high court. The taste of the briyani reminds me the best briyani what I used to taste in Muslims marriage. In mutton briyani the masala is a bit high and with the blend of mutton its awesome, when it comes to chicken the masala is mild compared to mutton. Menu its so simple only briyani with mutton and chicken with chicken 65. If you are really crazy about briyani, this is one of the best briyani you should try.
My first time at their Parrys outlet.
A Menu consisting of only a few Variety of Biryanis and only one Side Dish of Chicken 65 - No deviation from that, from the time I've known this place. There is no extra charge for Parcel. Token service is followed to place your order.
I got deceived by the look of their Chicken 65 (₹105). First impression was that it's going to be hard, over fried meat. But, reality was that, this was one of the best Chicken 65 that I've had recently. Soft, juicy, perfectly masalafied - Awesome!
The Biryani is served on a Banana Leaf, with unlimited supply of Brinjal Chops, Raita and a sweet (Semiya Kesari). The quantity is huge. The service is quick and efficient.
The Mutton Biryani (₹160) was long grained, mildly flavourful, slightly oily but non-greasy (Doesn't leave you with that sticky feeling after washing your hands) and spicy. The Mutton Pieces were very succulent.
Certainly, a good Biryani but wouldn't fall under the best Biryani category, in my opinion. Too many irritants and blob of Masala here and there isn't really my idea of enjoying a Biryani. Having said that, Kalyana Bhavan Biriyani is a notch better than many other Biryani places, and their overall package is irresistible.
