Foods are okay. Environment, Parking, Ambiance, Service everything is fine.. But it lost its authentic style and taste.. Taste are not as before it was in Nungambakkam.. They're just promoting their hotel name and environment but they lost military restaurant identity ... It's just a normal restaurant..
Excellent taste, nice aromatic briyani. meals taste wonderful with karuvadu thokku
A lot depends on what you expect from a place like this. If you are expecting biryani of the level of Dum Pukht or Bukhara, you won't get it. The waiters are nice, the food is a mix of old traditional Tamilian non-veg and modern restaurant cooking, but it's still excellent of its kind and I loved the experience. They have some standard "north Indian" items which every restaurant in India offers, and some stuff which is from their own Tamilian and Andhra tradition. Service was prompt and competent, prices were very reasonable, the place was clean. I'll go again.
We went for lunch and the place was largely empty. Some interesting dishes are only made for dinner, be warned. The mutton sukka and mutton liver roast were good, I didn't like the mutton kudal roast, whatever it was, and the wheat parotta were really light and well made. The mutton moghlai special biryani was nice, very mild in taste, not quite like a typical layered biryani, more like a pulao.
