A nice place which you enter just for their expertise in vegetarian cooking. Be it their breakfast with amazing sambar, or some rare dishes like Ragi Dosa/Godhumarava Dosa/Dhalia/Idiyappam Thenga paal/butter milk/Kozhakatta/Rava Laddu/Thair Vada/Filter Coffee/etc.

I am constantly raving about all their breakfast items since this is the meal for which I frequently visit Saravana Cafe.

They provide breakfast/lunch/snacks/dinner. Skipping lunch & dinner, we come to the evening snacks which has a crowd of it’s own. Bajji/Bonda/Vada/etc are there. The highlights for me are the same sweets which you get in the evenings too, plus some soup/really cheap sandwiches/rava upma in cup (for 10 bucks!), Rajma in a cup and a couple more stuff like this which you don’t get in many places. Note: you should want sambar with your bajji/bonda (along with the chutney), you gotta ask for it separately by paying 6 rupees :P yes, that’s the price. Else you go inside and have the delicacies at a few bucks extra overall and get the entire tiffin experience :D

Located in a place filled with Chennai’s famous road side eateries, Saravana Cafe is a place that you have to visit for the taste in vegetarian food which is 5/5 given. The pricing is a bit on the higher side but justified given the special taste and vibe of the place (zero fancy/vitals are there and excellent taste).

Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of few small disappointments. - hand wash is a big problem which could be easily fixed for a better experience but somehow they choose to ignore it.
- Cigarettes which they sell outside is a not a good sign for a restaurant, especially for those who are looking to not enjoy the smoky atmosphere.

Excellent dosa varieties with great side dishes..Please try some more varieties..foodies will enjoy them..prompt delivery nd what else to say.. keep it up guys
