Got to know about this place through my mom as I enquired from where she got the awesome Gongoora pickle and paruppu podi! They get the stuff from Andhra Pradesh.
Have tried multiple stores for their authentic Andhra sides and this one is at the top!
Gongoora pickle costs Rs.95 for 250 gms. It's hot but not too spicy. Love the flavour! Sometimes have felt a slight lack of flavour, but mostly good.
Paruppu podi/powder costs Rs.85 for 250 gms. That awesome garlic flavour rich podi you get as sides in Andhra cuisine based restaurants! So aromatic.
Moar molaga/sun-dried seasoned chilli costs Rs.90 a pack. Salted to right amounts and hot/spicy!
Packaging is neat. Courteous staff who answer the phone while placing orders. lol also found them well mannered when purchasing in person.
Definitely going to try out their other menu listings!
My favorite joint for some lovely snacks from Andhra.. Pootharekulu and cashew chkkie to name specifics. Gives satisfaction of home made stuff. Don't miss their potato wafers.... Got will taken for more.....
I went to this place a week ago...came to know about east godavari part of AP's popular sweet Pootharekulu through facebook ..already i tasted this sweet but i didnt realise it was pootharekulu and moreover didnt know how to eat...after seeing at fb and the procedure of pootharekulu through net my curiosity to taste the paper sweets(pootharekulu) was intensified...through net came to know about this shop that they sell exclusive andhra sweets....this shop is situated exactly opposite to hotel nayagra at kodambakkam......like the ambiance it was hygenic....coming to pootharekulu ie paper sweets there are three varieties in that former said sweets..one stuffed only with sugar, another stuffed with jaggery and another one was nuts with jaggery....i bought nuts with jaggery whixh was smeared with pure ghee..taste was superb and if you touch the sweet the exact paper feel you will have but once it went inside the mouth it melts my god mouth watering...hats off to the person who invented this sweet......another interesting, surprising and delicious sweet is kakinada khaja,i read it was good so i bought it with some hesitation because it was looking hard outside, but once i had it it was very soft and juicy...exterior hard and interior juicy..thats why i mentioned it has surprising taste...whoever visit this shop dont miss paper sweet and kakinada khaja.....prices are moderate and worthy spending.....dont miss the novel sweets of AP ..........
