I visited this restaurant along with four of my friends for lunch on a wednesday. The place looked posh. Ambience was great. The air conditioning was good. The place was furnished well. This restaurant is located on the first floor and there's a cafe and a book shop on the ground floor. This place only serves Chettinad cuisine and they do excellent job at that. I ordered masala cheeyam to start with and for mains I had unlimited Vegetarian Chettinad meals, both were delicious. My friends had Nattu kozhi (country chicken) biriyani for mains and had mutton kola urundai and another chicken dish for starters. I didn't eat the non-vegetarian dishes, but my friends said they tasted great. Pricing was a bit on the higher side, but it was worth it. The staff were responsive, courteous and polite. The dishes did take a while to be served to us but it was understandable, as they were all cooked fresh. They have a decent parking space. They accept payment by cash, cards, UPI. This restaurant is well suited for families. They employ rehabilitated individuals who had intellectual disability in the past and burns survivors as their staff (this information was quoted at the reverse of the menu card) which is a really good thing. All of us had a satisfied lunch and my friends suggested that we visit this place often.
Ambience was quite good.
Best place to try some authentic South Indian dishes.
Special Chettinad nattukozhi chicken curry.
Some vegetarian dishes also available.
Authentic South Indian deserts also available here.
One of the best homestyle Chettinad food place in Chennai. The meals are the best for lunch! Vegeterian and non vegetarian. We loved both. The Sora puttu / shark scramble was delicious and fresh. Going again? For sure!!!
