#restaurantreview
Since i work in dlf it park, my favorite restaurant nearby was Chinese story. After the closure of that restaurant was eagerly waiting for a replacement. And here came the TAGO restaurant.
Parking - Located opposite to dlf it park, with good parking facilities.
Ambience - very nice ambience and lighting. The walls are adorned with beautiful photos depicting various emotions in human life. 😊
Service - very satisfied with their service. The best part is they inform us prior about the size of food dishes and ensure that we don't waste food. (each of their fried rice and noodles can be shared by two people). Also the restaurant people are well aware of the ingredients in each dish.
Food - we loved most of the items we ordered..we tried the Cantonese dumpling soup and hot dragon soup. Soups were normal (no complaints). Hot dragon soup as the name suggests tasted hotter than the other one.
Coming to starters - we ordered water chestnut and vegetables dimsum and 'chicken and scallion' dimsum. As expected we loved the chicken one more.. The fillings were so soft and yummy.
And then came the real starters - crispy squids and their fried chicken are must try here. Crispy squids gives an uncontrollable craving to eat more. Their fried chicken is flattened chicken breast pieces similar to kfc chicken
In main course- we tried one veg dish - vegetable treasure - fried vegetables in a garlic sauce - taste was similar to soup. Didn't impress us much.
In main courses - coconut prawn curry and massaman chicken curry are must tries. They are less spicy and they complement well to a bowl of jasmine rice.
Also the Mongolian noodles and garlic burnt fried rice tasted good. They have their in-house sauces which blends perfectly with fried rice and noodles.
In desserts, fried ice cream is The best here. They give a single large scoop of fried ice cream to reduce the batter usage . Very yummy and tasty 😊
😀 So if you are nearby this area, it's a must try restaurant with friends and family. Do get suggestions from the waiters and choose the dishes as per your taste.
Used to be a regular at 'Chinese Story', so was waiting for the replacement when it was closed. Tago offers Japanese cuisine and a fusion to keep the Indian interests. But the menu works, every choice was tasty and the options though limited were sufficient for all. Quantity is on the higher side for the noodles and rice items. Tried the beef steak with udong noodles and it turned out to be an excellent choice.
The fried ice cream turned healthier with the chef using a non-maida batter. And the taste was still awesome!
Special mention about the service. We chose a lazy Sunday dinner to visit, and had already 2-3 waiters always hovering around the table. Very helpfull service.
A sure try restaurant for Chinese based food experience. Any fried rice or noodles with fried garlic flavour was special. Dim-sums was good. Have no much deserts.
