The beach views, calm ocean and ability to watch the sunset on our patio were highlights of the area! The hotel restaurant was exceptional, not only because every meal we enjoyed had a variety of options and was flavorful but also because the prices were so reasonable for an oceanfront resort! The entire area and restaurant were a lot more laid back and calm than other touristy coastal front towns in cherai. I'd imagine there's a bit more traffic during high seasons, but either way, we'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!
The Karimeen Polichathu was awesome. The taste and preparation was very good. The Malabar parotta was also good. The schezwan noodled doesn’t tasted as it should be. The Veg fried rice is good. Almost all the dishes were served quickly. There is also a chat counter, which we didn’t try as we went for dinner. Nice place to try
The restaurant is bang opposite the Cherai Beach promenade and parking lot. The ambience of the restaurant was very good, being housed in a typical Kerala style bungalow with rooms on the first floor and the well furnished restaurant on the ground floor. They have outdoor and indoor seating as well. Parking was available in their compound.
We had a nice evening enjoying the sea breeze with our order of Kingfish Meen Pollichathu. The Surmai fish was wrapped in banana leaf after marinating in the spices and masalas and then cooked. The taste was excellent and we had it with Kerala Parottas. The size of the fish was sufficient for the two of us. The service was quite good and friendly. The price was reasonable.
