An amazing fine dining restaurant with a wide range of creatively curated fusion food. The presentation of the dishes were mind blowing. Taste wise, we were left craving for more. Excellent ambience. We tried their Tom kha phak soup, assorted dumplings, red Thai curry with jasmine rice and tiramisu (which took the crown)
Would definitely go back.
Kove is one of the best restaurants I have ever had the privilege of dining at. Everything about the restaurant is top notch, from the interior design and international menu to the wonderful staff. My wife and I were waited upon by Priya, who was one of the nicest and most attentive waitresses we have ever experienced. If you are in Coimbatore for any reason, please do yourself a favor, and go visit Kove for an amazing dining experience. We would also like to extend our thanks to the manager, Chandru, as well as the other restaurant staff that made our multiple dining experiences so memorable: Bindushre, Guhan, Chandra Mohan and Sandeep. Thank you all for your incredible service each time we dined at Kove. We look forward to return to see you all again.
People say vegetarian dishes lack the variety, flavours and depth when compared to non vegetarian dishes. I used to be one of them.
Well I stand pleasantly corrected.
The food here at Kove was just muah!
Now let's just dive into the review without further ado,
Soup -
1. Tom Kha Phak
2. Poosini Charu
Both of the soups were made absolutely well.
The poosini Charu is a more traditional south indian thin soup, the flavours were on spot and it sates the soul.
But I would suggest you try the poosini Charu first and then move on to Tom Kha Phak.
Because it was a showstopper! The mild yet flavourfull soup based on coconut milk was out of world. It has a lot plethora of veggies in there. You would think all those vegetables would be mix mash of flavours but No! A big fat No! The flavours of each vegetable is kept and they compliment one another perfectly!
Starters-
1. Assorted Dim Sum
2. Chettinad Pala Cutlet
3. Vazhapoo Paneer Kola Urundai
4. Lotus Stem with black bean sauce
Now I'm not gonna go into detail on each and every single one of these amazing dishes.
Trust me! I absolutely had a very hard time choosing and nitpicking.
But among those I personally loved the lotus Stem because it spoke to the spice lover in me and my partner enjoyed her Chettinad Pala Cutlet the most. Though I must say a non vegetarian would not be able to differentiate the Pala Cutlet from a chicken cutlet at all. It was truly that good.
Main Course-
1. Thai Green curry
2. Yaki Udon
By the time, we got to the main course we were stuffed and I honestly thought we'd have to ask the staff to wrap things up to go.
But we started off with just a slight taste check and the next thing we knew we finished the whole plate. The green curry was creamy, mild, sweet and wonderfully balanced.
Dessert-
1. Orange Lime Posset
2. Bailey's Tiramisu
Leaving kove without trying the dessert would be an absolute crime. Especially, the Posset it was just exemplary.
My rating,
Food - 5/5
Service - 4.4/5
Ambience - 4/5
