I have sent parcel to my hometown from this post office. The staff were very cooperative. The suggested that the size of the box needs to be adjusted as the dimension of the box was not within the permitted limit. The parcel got delivered at destination without any damage and promptly. Overall very satisfied with the service and cost of the parcel service provided by India post. I suggest, if you are travelling on vacation to McLeod ganj and want to send the items purchased from here, go for parcel service rather than paying additional charges for luggage to airline as it is cheaper and the guys here are experienced in handling the parcels. There is packing service available next to the post office at a reasonable cost. PS: I saw many foreigners sending parcel to different countries from here which gave me the confidence to utilise this service.

It's always feel amazing the way indian post office work in the mountains. People are very humble and kind to assist you without making any problem for you.. And there is huge different between city and mountain post office where in the city they don't listen keep asking this and that document. If you are looking for cool and fast service then please post your parcel from Maclodganj post office Dharamsala.
