4 stars just for the ambience and sitting comfort.
The staff was ok ok, I think it's the.peoblem.with most of the Gurgaon restaurant that they are dull, not so soft spoken and do not wish to sound rude which mixes up and they behave flat.
Another reason is the crowd is too.much and they do not have any impact of effect people come or don't as one goes, other comes in. Well, overall, won't degrade them, they are ok ok.
Food is above average and served well. Drinks are also nice. Overall you can go once in a while and enjoy little sitting with a drink or two, enjoy small bites and back to work.
I said that because I went their alone just to get a break from my meeting work schedule .
As a visitor from Melbourne Australia, I could confidently say the authenticity and atmosphere was very much like home.. the food was exquisite and catered for all types of requirements (including my kids!) .. the dumplings (or dim sum) with chilli oil is a must have, along with their great selection of beer and desserts... was very impressed by the atmosphere, service and food selection .. the signature dishes were nothing less that delicious with the platter sizing perfect for fine dining expectations. A must go to place especially if you want a feel for the "real" Chinese cuisine, the way it's served across the world... Loook forward to trialling new signature dishes when I return next year!
“TWIST has a new Twist....and it's now......TWIST & SHOUT!”
The lovely hangout TWIST catering pan-asian cuisine was a restaurant as open to youngsters and families alike. But recently it has taken the unique step of including a partial separator, so while half of the place continues to be the original place the other half is an invitingly beautiful lounge bar.
While the bar serves all the regular as well as premium poisons, more importantly it has on offer some of the most eclectic wines handpicked from across vineyards in Italy. The separator itself is not your usual wall or a false divider but an exquisitely designed walk-in wine cellar designed in glass, so besides the fact that one can walk in among the fantastic collection of wines one also gets to view them while sitting in the bar. In an expensive place like Cyber Hub, while the cellar may seem like a significant compromise on the real-estate, but the visual appeal and the feel that it adds to the place consolidates it's position significantly in the lounge/bar space in Cyber Hub which has next to none players in the category.
The place has lovely dim lighting and has funny graffiti around drinking on one of the walls. While some I had seen before, quite a few were new and punchy which goes to show that owners have good taste and a sense of humour. The bar has been done rather well in the setup and the place also serves draught beer -Bira, Stella to name a few. Coming back, the wines are some of the most rare wines not to be found anywhere else in India as they have been especially and exclusively imported for the restaurant so if you are a wine connoisseur, you know which place to head to.
In the starters we tried paneer tikka, mutton galouti and chicken tikka and each one of them was done to perfection. They also have a dash of 3 different sauces served very stylishly on the platters. So the food has both style and substance.
So I believe an ideal evening could be a a couple of drinks at Shout and some starters to be followed with some main course at Twist. Now that would be quite a TWIST to an otherwise boring evening and also give you something to SHOUT about to your friends. Give it a SHOT!
