Tried Mexican food for first time❤
Mexican options in the city are limited to Chili's or TGIF, both, very American versions of the cuisine. Get ready for an authentic Mexican treat at El Sabor, as the place promises you real flavours, fresh preparations and exquisite cocktails.
We started with Shrimp cocktail - fresh salsa, chopped tomatoes, onions, diced up shrimps, in the sweet and spicy mixture, finished with whole shrimps, really loved the punch and freshness.
Next up - choriqueso, homemade tortilla chips, with liquid cheese and minced meat, sort of like deconstructed nachos, I absolutely loved the idea! No more soggy tortilla chips :P
Also indulged in some authentic tacos and burrito! Don't expect a tonne of sour cream, but try some of Chef's fresh and authentic sauces.
You must try the salt-rimmed classic Margaritas and the signature El Baliente topped with Corona!
I liked the place for its authentic Mexican menu and the food which has been specially curated by chef Tony who is running a restaurant of the same lineage successfully in Al bahama
CHEF has tried t keep the flavours as close to authentic as possible making all the condiments and bread in house.... Sourcing best of maize flour and the peppers from the I dian marhet or importing what ever is possible.
So I liked how he quickly did up a vegetarian version of tacos and flauta for me with beautiful crusty flautas and the soft tacos served with a range of dips and salsas....
Great choice of cocktails.....
