Ranghar is said to be one of the oldest surviving amphitheaters in Asia, the building was first constructed during the reign of Swargadeo Rudra Singha. The Rang Ghar was the logo of the 33rd National Games held in Guwahati, in February 2007.The Rang Ghar was built specially for enjoyment of recreational/sports activities by the royal families and public of the Ahom dynasty. The dimention of Rang Ghar is a two storied masonry monumental structure of 12 meter height, with a dome type roof, thick masonry walls and a series of arch openings at both floors.
Rang Ghar's pool tables in Guwahati offer an affordable and enjoyable gaming experience. With 30 minutes priced at 100 rupees and 1 hour at 150 rupees, it's the most pocket-friendly option in town. The tables are well-maintained, and the playing surfaces ensure smooth shots. Whether you're a serious player or looking for a casual game, Rang Ghar provides an accessible and budget-friendly option to indulge in your pool skills. It's a great place to have fun with friends or family without straining your wallet.
It was a nice place to have fun and spend good times with young kids. With lots of options for kids to play around and adults to play and enjoy coffee or tea or soft drinks for that matter, and to enjoy the GS road view.
Prices were also not very expensive and staff were also cool enough to tolerate.
But now I got to know that the place has been shut down. Unfortunate to know that.
