Musheerabad Jama Masjid is one of the most beautiful mosques in Hyderabad; it is big and spacious; it is very beautifully architected; it has good facilities; and it is well maintained. It is also known as Badi Masjid. The architecture is mainly Qutub Shahi style, so it is also called Qutub Shahi Masjid.
• The Musheerabad MasjidOr MASJID E KALAN, (also known as Musheerabad Badi Masjid, or Jama Masjid Musheerabad) is a mosque located in the Musheerabad locality of Hyderabad, India.
• The original portion was constructed in 1560 AD by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah, the fourth Sultan of the Qutb Shahi dynasty and is identical to the Hayat Bakshi Mosque located in Hayathnagar area of Hyderabad.
• After the fall of Golconda, the mosque went into disuse and remained abandoned till the area became a jagir of Nawab Arastu Jah, the Prime minister during the reign of Nizam Ali Khan. It was also repaired in 1951. Today, the old structure is in a dilapidated state.
• A new four-storied portion has been constructed to accommodate the namazis. There used to be a large courtyard where the new portion stands today.
•The mosque has five lofty arches and two minarets at the corners.

Inside, after crossing the gateway with small minarets, the older part of the masjid comes into view. It is breathtaking. Framed by two bulbous minarets, the five-arched masjid is a tribute to the endless possibilities of stucco. The ledge, the water spout, inner arches, pillars and every imaginable part of the masjid is luxuriously decorated with symmetrical limestone plaster, some of it dating back to the time it was built in 1601, though it is credited to Ibrahim Qutb Shah who ruled Golconda between 1543 and 1580. The design of the masjid has a interesting aspect in that the Mehrab appears like a room. The carvings on the inner walls are part of the newer modifications.
