After so many years into the digital age of communication, I stepped into this post office for sending a letter by speed post. Lots of memories of writing and receiving letters through the postal service gushed in. The same old style of functioning. Huge load of parcels and letters and faithful postmen sort it patiently and deliver them. Hats off to this untiring men. Considering the workload, the department should increase the personnel, train them and improve infra. The place is so congested and not conducive for efficient work.
I have visited the office due to the parcel that is being returned due to the address which was stated on it is my old one. Couple of agents inside the office helped me opting the current status of the parcel. But I am unsure why the the front desk lady is very arrogant in answering or guiding a person who is eager to know the whereabouts of his parcel.
I had an international parcel which was supposed to be delivered 4 days back, but like other mentioned they marked as address not located.
After four days, delivery person comes, he asks for custom duty and on doing upi even though name matches he says he didn't receive. And he didn't deliver parcel.
My advice for custom duty pay in plain cash instead of upi so there is no dispute.
Pathetic service.
Update: quickly got update to send mail about this issue and issue got resolved. Apparently, due to different usage of upi platforms there was mis understanding and after it was cleared, I got my parcel and also received back additional amount that was paid.
