This is a very vintage place (literally) because Maharaja Jai Singh of Jaipur has started it long ago for his elite guests from abroad. Carrying forward the legacy, this place still serves food to most of the foreign travellers and during the season, the place is usually brimming with the tourist crowd.

Coming on the food, it was basic Indian food. We did not really either liked it much or did not even hated it. It was kinda neutral.

We had a full course meal with Paneer butter masala, Jeera Aloo, Vegetable Pulav, Raita, Bread, Salad, Cold Coffee and ice cream.

Liked the rice and raita.

They also offer cultural performances to enjoy with the food. There are pictures of the royal family with a description written on the behalf of Maharaja Jai Singh placed all over the place.
Malai kofta is to die for.
Place design for serving food to foreigners. Enjoy dinner with folk dance,
Food is with mild spices. Service is excellent
This looks like a tourist restaurant and likely is. But we were the only customers there at 1 p.m. for lunch on a weekday, so I cannot really comment on the clientele. We went after the driver's recommendation and enjoyed the ambiance and food and really liked our greeter/server (host). He offered us a warm welcome and asked if we wanted to sit in the lovely garden at one of its many tables or inside at a table in a fairly small room with ceiling fans. We opted for the latter because it was a really hot day.
The immaculate interior offered a homey atmosphere with framed photos on the walls of K. Jai Singh, who started the restaurant long ago, and members of his illustrious family. Each photo had information on the person's background and relationship to Singh. He named the place "Indiana" because he received a BSME from Purdue University in Indiana. I had fun walking around the room and learning about the family. The tables sported dark blue tablecloths and red napkins; the easy-chair-style wicker seating was extremely comfortable.
As the lone customers, we received excellent service from our always-pleasant and attentive host. We started with outstanding stuffed naan. I chose a half tandoori chicken for my meal and it proved to be tender and delicious. My friend had a tasty cooked fresh vegetable dish. The bill for the food and two soft drinks came to about Rs 1200, which is pricey for India but reasonable for this caliber of restaurant.
As we left, our host invited us to return in the evening when the restaurant offers music and dancing.
