It's a home away from home. It is a little home for everyone who visits kaza. Karan has made this place heaven by his experience from all over the world. We visit recently in may'18. I can stay there for days without doing anything literally. And the staff are awesome. I would not only recommend but will suggest this to be the only place to stay when in kaza. Simba and all the other fur babiesake it even more beautiful to be. I miss u all and will definitely come back sometime to see u guys.
Love jasmine and kundan
Loved everything about this place and was a great base for exploring the surrounding villages, mountains and peaks. We stayed at Hotel Deyzor run by Karan Bir Bedi.. Having someone like Karanbir around was informative, given his extensive knowledge of the local area, refreshing, for his outlook on life. The whole place has a really laid back vibe and the best food I sampled in Kaza specially the pahadi mutton...Karan and the rest of his staff do their best to ensure you have a comfortable stay.
The dinning n rooms r tastefully done..The rooms are large, clean, all with attached bathroom and Oh yeah they have WiFi!...Thanx Karanbir Singh bedi....had a get time with u at Deyzor...
Deyzor is a world within a world…! We got to know about this place through a friend who stayed here earlier and I can just say that as soon as you step into this place you feel like you have entered another place altogether. It's nothing like you would see in Spiti - Truly one of its kind...!
The quality of food served is excellent and would take you by surprise. Having stuck to dal rice on our whole trip in Himachal, we were so happy to have found such amazing food! The chefs here are very hardworking and make an effort to create something new and different every day. There is a specials menu which is updated on a daily basis. Every morning, we’d wake up and look forward to having something new and different. Chicken and hummus rolls, seabuck thorn Tea/ juice, mushroom and spinach pasta, baked eggs, yak cheese and jalapeno omelette, Nutella crepes with fresh fruit, barley porridge, mutton biryani, ginger lemon honey tea, baksu cake, chicken steak, honey chilli potatoes were some of the items that we gorged on! And loved..!!!
Karanbir Singh Bedi - the magic man and the saviour of Deyzor has put his heart and soul into making the place what it is today! He always ensured that all who entered the hotel were graciously looked after. Having travelled around Spiti himself, he was the best person to give us travelling advice - Our entire Spiti Valley trip was chalked out with his suggestions. He was always eager to help tourists and travellers (even those who weren’t staying at Deyzor) with suggestions about where and how to travel, what to order at the restaurant and with any other whims that a customer would have. The staff there is also friendly and helpful and they welcomed us warmly.
The Ambience is nothing like I have ever seen before. Its like you enter a fairy tale place – with a cosy, homey feeling to it – the fairy lights on the counter, the soothing music, the inspiring quotes on the brightly coloured walls. Karan has taken special care to display the décor highlighting some of his travels and the Spiti culture. There are books for avid readers, games like Scrabble and Pictionary and testimonials from people who have stayed there. Travellers have contributed to little artefacts to the place. The rooms! They have been the best we've stayed at during our whole trip! Neat, clean, and so very well decorated. One can immediately comprehend the amount of effort that has been put into decorating each room - be it the cutely hand cut birds or the jar of dried apples and barley popcorn or the vases with the husks in them. The hotel provides WIFI and on days when there is no electricity, a bucket of hot water through the solar is given to you by the staff. The hotel has its shop adjacent to it, which promotes and sells local Spiti products – Dried apples, Sweet and Salted Barley popcorn, Barley coffee and powder, Seabuck thorn Tea and Juice, Handmade woollen socks and mufflers and many more items!
Simba and Hachi - I think we lured many a tourists into visiting this place by showing them pics of Simba - the great and adorable St Bernard and darling Hachi.. Karan's pet! Simba is soo loveable and huggable!! Hachi - is very selective of the people who pet her, but she is gorgeous!
This place felt like home to Anushre and me and we did not want to leave. Thanks Karan and Gang for an excellent stay.....!! Hope to visit here soon!
