A great restaurant hidden in a small alley near Mother House. The food is really impressive, and their quality of tea is the best in Kolkata.

Excellent food, atmosphere, and hospitality. The PEOPLE trump everything else though; such incredible service and obvious care and love. Clean restaurant, felt like home, great food for an even better price. Thank you for making my time in Kolkata so special, Carlton and Heather! You two truly are an inspiration, and I miss Herb Alive Cafe!

The food was not only some of the best meals I had while I was in India, but it was also insanely inexpensive for what you get. The service can not be beat anywhere, seriously, ANYWHERE! Carlton and his wife are wonderful people who do incredible work around Kolkata and they treat you like family from the minute you walk through their walls. Stop here, eat here, stay here!!
