A must visit breakfast place for when you are in Kolkata. Even though they are famous for serving the best chicken stew in India but don't miss out on their fried delicacies.
I loved their egg wellington and fish cutlet.
Not located in the cleanest of streets but the line infront of this small shop will raise irresistible curiosity in your mind to atleast try and believe me you will not regret your decision even for a second.
I did a food tour of Kolkata. So feel free to ask questions and follow my reviews.
At the bustling heart of James Hickey Sarani, lies Chitto Babur Dokan, a relic of culinary heritage. This timeless street food haven beckons with its historic charm, promising a nostalgic journey through breakfast delights. The Chicken Stew seemed average at first, yet it had this intriguing quality that made it stand out. It's a must-try for anyone craving a nostalgic morning bite. The takeaway packaging was remarkably good. Even though the hygiene was a little compromised, I would have to say my overall experience was really fantastic.
Let me first say, This is not for anyone who's looking for a hygienic place. And talking about food it's quiet nice here. I tried chicken stew and buttered toast. I liked the combo as a breakfast but there's nothing special about it. This is Just a regular chicken soup in a better way. But you can try once here as it's a local heritage kind of food.
