Located by the central Avenue in between the MG Road and Central metro station just opposite to the Medical College entrance Appayan is one of the oldest restaurant in Kolkata specially known for its 'Porota' and torkari. The porota is basically laccha type with a dry mix veg which is too good to taste. The same is of very less spices and dry but really delicious. It also has various rolls, soups Chicken items extra along with tea and coffee. The sitting arrangement is age old and the ambience is not so good but manageable. The owner should take care of improving the ambience for better marketing. But, it's a must try for the Paratha lovers..

Specialties- Paratha with Sabzi, food is very good, quantity of foods are a bit less compared to the other restaurants.

Not the best of food...But serves your appetite when you are feeling hungry. The best part is you can seat and eat while relaxing your tired limbs which was the case with me. Nice behaviour. Do give it a visit...
