Hey Foodies!
Lake Lite, located in Sector 5 Salt Lake is the perfect food destination for those who love filling their tummies in a humble and cozy setting amidst friends and "adda". In short, a reliable place for a typical Bong.
I was delighted to be there, dining and chatting with people closest to my heart on a Weekday (which meant lesser rush and more chit-chat). Since we loved the ambiance, I think we ended up ordering a bit more than usual. However we savored every bit of what was offered.
Fresh Lime Soda: This is a very regular beverage found in all restaurants, exactly this is what makes it so important for a restaurant to ensure that what they serve catches the attention of their customers. Frankly, I was impressed with the way it was served in a fancy glass. I was willing to forgive if it tasted average but again I found the taste to be just as good.
Mushroom Pepper Salt: I am a mushroom lover, so yeah I give full points to the crispy stir-fried mushroom with the adequate seasonings
Badaami Murgh Kabaab: This was something I tried for the first time and I loved it. Not too spicy, yet full of flavours. Quite savoury with the green chutney.
Amritsari Fish: Slices of fish well marinated in spices and cooked well. It was the spiciest of all the starters we tried and yet I wouldn't mind some more spiciness.
Chicken Pepper Salt: It tasted quite like its veg counter part apart from the flavour of chicken instead of mushroom
Chicken Fried Rice: Well, it was good. No miracle there. I could have been more impressed.
Kung Pao Chicken: It was spicy, tangy and it complemented the rice.
Overall, it was a great experience. Great enough to keep me from photographing the food and restaurant from different angles. I guess I'll do that on my next visit.
Cheers!
Keep Eating :)
The place is just amazing to have food joints with friends and family. Staffs are friendly and polite. Food quality is too good and the quantity of the foods are enough according to the price. You can also enjoy music while having you food.
This place was bang beside WBHRB, the WB govt health recruitment board, where I had gone for an interview. After the lengthy procedure was over, we went inside to satisfy our hunger pangs. We ordered one plate each of kung pao chicken with schezwan chicken hakka noodles. The quantity was adequate, service attentive, ambience good, decor quirky with a " far east " touch, coupled with delicious food made our day. To top it all, it was light on our pockets. Nice place, would definitely recommend.
