Ettukettu located in Kumarakom Lake Resort, went for lunch at this restaurant during my visit in Kumarakom on a Sunday, our hotel person recommended the same. We got a table at the restaurant and opted for a lunch buffet.
Ambiance: The resort is huge, and the restaurant is located near the reception. The place is surrounded by garden and even have water running from between the restaurant in an artificial canal though the water I wish could be clean.
Service: The staff is polite and professional, they even made dal rice without any chilis as it was required for the child.
Drinks: We ordered beer which was served chilled so no complaints from my side.
Food: We had the buffet lunch; the spread was good. For starters they had prawns and samosas, they had multiple salads & Soups. For the main course we had choice of fish curry, mutton, and veg. along with breads to order. They even had Chinese option and the chicken in the same selection was very good. The best was the dessert section they had lot of options for the same including ice cream, Indian sweets, Cakes and puddings.
Cost: Cost for our meal along with 2 beer was around 4000 INR which was not too expensive compared to the ambiance and food. Buffet cost for one is 1500 INR.
Overall a good property and one can give it a try if you in Kumarakom.
Senior Restaurant Manager Johny & Chef Sudharsh, constantly come up with some very creative Menus, particularly Vegetarian.
We asked for Bitter Gourd (Karela) Juice. Next day, we were served that made, Fresh from their Garden, Organic Bitter Gourd Juice. The bakery guy, loves to make fresh Croissant, come to the Hall and serve them.
Awesome service - All the boys and girls, you have Won our Hearts & Souls!!!
Beautiful experience. The Ettukettu from Kayamkulam has been brought here and set up in all its glory. The atmosphere inside is amazing .The artisan work is absolutely speakingvolumes of our ancestral talents of intrinsic wood carving so well known to this part of our land which was once under the rule of Thekkumkoor kings.
The array of food was delicious with melt in the mouth the parottas and rotis ; the pradhaman and bananas were a feast to the taste buds .The cakes cakes and ice creams were soft and very well choosen.
