I loved this quaint little cafe which we discovered on our way to the hotel. And I am so glad that we lost our way.
The owners were such warm and caring people ! We had the world famous Butter tea and Shakshukha… the plating, taste and portion was just perfect. I have promised them to be back during my next week. It’s a must visit place for spending a lazy acclimatisation afternoon!
Momos are a must try here! They are made in house and more importantly made to order which is amazing. The stuffing is very flavourful and the chutney is also amazing.
The coffees and drinks were passable and the service time was a bit high but overall the serene atmosphere and the delicious momos make this place a must visit along Changspa road.
I usually drank my morning coffee here, sitting outside under the walnut trees. I love thew view of mountains, river close by and giant prayer wheel that people often passing by would spin and you hear the little bell go off. I met some very interesting people here, other solo travelers and long term residents. The owner was kind and friendly and often helped me to navigate the city and we talked about Buddhism. But most importantly, the menu is big and interesting, they have a strong bold coffee and very good selection of herbal teas. The quality and portion of food was very good. It's a wonderful place to relax away from the main market and close to nature and Shanti Stupa. There also some very old Gompas and statues nearly.
