A simple one line review- The best premium restaurant in Mahabaleshwar and the best Pan-Asian restaurant in the area bar none.
There really isn't a simpler way of stating this. The second you enter Longitude 73, you're impressed by the ambience. It has a relaxed, premium feel with lots of dark wood with pops of colour. The pool table is a great touch of course. The bar is another element that stands out. I want every restaurant in the country to note the volume of the music at Longitude 73 and just stick to that volume. It's high enough to be audible and make the atmosphere lively but it's never distracting and allows for conversation to take place at the table.
The service is impeccable. Saurabh was our host for the evening and was alert and great help throughout. I requested a variation of a drink from the Bar Menu and the bar staff did an exceptional job.
As with any restaurant, the food is the star of the show and Jehova, our chef for the evening was nothing short of a star. Everything we had was delicious but the Prawn Tempura Roll was one of the best I've ever had and the Avocado and Mango Sushis he conjured up was perfection. The Avocado and Mango Sushis specifically were so good, I might plan another trip to Mahabaleshwar simply to have it again. The Choco Lava Cake to cap off a fabulous meal was delicious as expected.
A great hotel needs a great restaurant. The Le Meridien, Mahabaleshwar is lucky enough to have 3 great restaurants and for my money Longitude 73 is the first among equals.
