Just beside the lovely Lung Ta Japanese restaurant is Tibetan Tea House. The hostess is lovely and great.
Talking about the place itself, it's small cozy and really beautiful place with lots of stuff to do. They have lots of books in the bookshelf and pretty good ones along with small games and sketch or colour books as well. We had a nice time.
Talking about food, it was just alright I'd say. Not amazing as I thought it would be. Maybe the non veg items are better. Expecting great veg items from Tibetan cousine is maybe a too hard ask 🤔. But good thing is that the food is quite cheap.
Overall nice and simple experience.
Lovely, homely, friendly place. Excellent collection of books incl. on Buddhism and many gems by His Holiness. I had the Butter Tea. It was hot and sharp in taste - served in a flask along with bowl. The flask contained several bowlfuls of tea.
Then I ordered onion bhajjis - it was a rainy day after all - and they brought a heaped plate, 15 pieces I think. Very tasty not too oily.
Really nice place. Some monks were playing Uno!!:)
Next time will spend more time...relaxing, down to earth...
I had a delightful experience at this charming place. The calming ambiance, warm staff, and delicious food made it memorable. Can't wait to return with friends soon! Hygiene was impeccable, and the thukpa and puri chai were divine. Highly recommended!
