Been to Swati Snacks several times, while i worked in that side of the town. My favourites were always Panki and their Undhiyu during season.
This was a visit after a good long break(read post COVID). We were there of us and went for lunch. Loved the millet (bajra i think) pizza and went a bit adventurous and ordered an Appam Stew as well. And Dabeli.
✅ Bajra Pizza - yummy overall, crunchy delicious base and quite a sumptuous portion, good for the table for everyone to sample
✅Dabeli - I'm a fan of Dabeli and don't miss a chance to taste this at any location. My favourite is the one that you get locally at Kutch and Ahmedabad. Expected better, bit it's ok for someone who doesn't have such a high expectation. Portion size was ok, with two Dabelis served in an order
✅Appam and stew - right on taste, saying this as a South Indian, hence it's a big deal! Well done Swati Snacks. But serving a single Appam and a tiny bowl of stew is just not ok. Appam and stew is a 'hearty' meal, it's not a snack, hence expect atleast two appams on plate for a single order. Can you send 1 poori for a poori-bhaji order? Get it? So a bit disappointed on this front.
✅ Then we ordered the popular masala chai which was accompanied by methi Savory sticks and coffee that came with banana chips. Nice touch!
No room for pankis after all of this.
In the realm of delectable cuisine there exists swati snacks haven. This establishment's flavors are nothing short of divine, surpassing ordinary taste experiences.
My favourite place in Mumbai to snack! The food here is of excellent quality. The Shrikhand, Undhyu and gola are too good
Dabeli was disappointing
