Must visit for any occasion with friends and family.
Momos Cafe - Courtyard Marriott Chakala
My second visit here , last was Oct 2016
Trust me , lot of changes have taken place
Quality of food is better , more live counters , more innovation and service
To start with , this place has a cool vibe with live singing on ( Hindi and English )
A sorted Mimosa bar trolly where they make some nice drinks though they have some mocktail as well
Live counters -
Cheeses , Salad , Sandwich , Eggs , Tapas , Grills , Bruschetta and how can one forget the Chaat ( guess I might have missed out on one )
Over all the produce they used was fresh , be it their tapas or salad or even the Grills
Starters could have been better , maybe balance of spice .
Found it monotonous
Tried the cheese station as well as salad , outstanding
Tapas were good as well and so was the egg station
Guess the moment one tries 3/4 stations he/she is 80% done.
Mains were good and had good options
From chicken to fish to prawns
Tried the Butter Chicken with naan and some veg biryani with raita and biryani and yes the dal makhani ( they had loads of other dishes )
Dessert were mostly eggless
Tried the pineapple and chocolate
Overall fully satisfied with the spread they serve and the price at which it's served at
Need to make a booking
Do visit this place over the days or specially the weekend , lots in store
Till then cheers
I have visited lot of times. Below contains reviews ans pictures taken multiple times.
Holi - The festival of colors. The same resembles to the food we eat. On this festive fervor, I stepped in to enjoy this magnificent colorful Holi Brunch.
As soon as you stepped @courtyardmumbai you will see huge dessert counter. But today my eyes captured all authentic glossy, classy, looking desserts and I was so amazed. Everything was looking stunningly colorful.
I started my Brunch with Khow Suey and varieties of starters. I love the Ragda Patis Chaat, Chhole Kulche, specially Chhole was made up with nice Punjabi style. Litti Choka was absolutely delicious. The sourness, spiciness and hint gave the perfect tongue twister. Potato Cheese balls were crispy and went well with green chatni. Ditto with Paneer, mashroom and babycorn Satay.
In main course I had various varieties amongst that Hyderabadi Biryani was delicious. Curd was not at all sour. The vegetables cooked with appropriate spices. Paneer Lababdar was definitely winner here.
Now my favorite part during the Brunch which, was Dessert. As I said I couldn't refrain myself from eating desserts at the earliest. I again selected Indian desserts and it was WOW!. Each and every dessert was made in uniquely. Different types of Gujiyas, Meetha Samosa were so delicious ditto with Jalebi and Laddu which was packed with lot of Ghee. The Coconut Rasgulla won my heart too. Meetha Paan was stuffed with dry fruits and had a Gulkand flavor to it. Very rare I see this unique dessert. I wish there couldn't have been any disease called Diabetes to repeat all those desserts multiple times. 😅
To accompany my meal I had Pina Colada (complimentary given) and Fresh Lime Soda. I had those to bring my taste buds back from the colorful food.
Service was great and I never had any complaints about service here. Everyone is on the tows ensuring there shouldn't be any delay.
So, I had a great Holi themed Brunch. Varieties of food but massive traditional dessert preparations bought more colors on my Brunch.
Dinner Time! I love dinner on weekend specially on Saturday that gives ample time to relax and eat everything on the table. And if I have such an amazing spread like this which offered @courtyardmumbai then it should be an elevating experience.
Starting from soup till the dessert I couldn't found even a single dish that was lacking spice.
Starting with soup and starter, this time Tomato Shorba was not thick but had spice to it. Chat platter was delicious and the curd used was not at all sour. Rest starters were good how ever I didn't eat Paneer Tikka more cos I had to save space for later course. 😅
I loved Punjabi Kadhi though gave a perfect spice along with aloo palak dry sabji. Veg Dum Biryani was packed with lot of flavors and for me it was spicy but the taste can be managed by adding curd. I didn't ordered roti this time I finished everything with plain rice and Biryani.
How can I miss desserts. I specially saved some space to grab those desserts. Balushai was so amazing ditto with Bengali sweet which topped with pomegranate and chocolate cream and dry fruits. Western desserts were good but I love the Indian desserts more.
At last I had fresh lime water to wash it down again it was not sour and bitter. Was rightly made balancing sweetness.
Alright, I enjoyed the dinner but being honest what I enjoyed more was main course and Desserts.
Service was excellent and I never waited so long to get the dish on the table. I never had service issues @courtyardmumbai which made my overall experience more delightful. No doubt
