World Streat Food
You can easily guess the concept of World Streat Food by its name. They offer cuisines from all over the world. The menu has been curated in a way that everything (right from drinks to starters to mains to desserts) is covered from all around the world. Another interesting thing is that they host 52 food festivals for 52 weeks throughout the year offering food from 52 different countries. For example currently they are hosting Simple Jain Food Festival for the Paryushana week.
The ambience of place changes as per the festival. We visited during the Tibetan Food Festival and the place was beautifully adorned with Tibetan decor like the Prayer Flags.
▫️ Passion Paradise Mocktail
It was a mixture of cranberry and passion fruit flavours. It was a refreshing drink and had the perfect fruity flavour.
▫️The Mexican Veg Tostadas
Crispy corn tostadas filled with chopped veggies cooked in salsa topped with cheese. It was band on flavours. ORDER IT!
▫️The Sichuan Wanton Cups
It is another starter which you must try. It consists of wonton cups filled with chopped carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, water chestnut and corn cooked in Sichuan sauce.
▫️Mexican Devil Fries
Crispy herbed fries topped with chipotle, mayo and chopped spring onions. I loved the crispy fries. They were the best fries I have had ever!
▫️The Three Cheese Fondue
It served with garlic croutons, sautéed veggies and herbed wedges. The dip was very thick and cheesy. It tasted lip smackingly good with the wedges. ORDER IT!
▫️Buffalo Paneer Mac & Cheese
The macaronis were cooked perfectly in a creamy cheese sauce and was topped with paneer cooked in tangy tomato sauce. The topping actually ruined the dish.
For desserts I tried the Turkish Baklava and the Austrian Sachertort. The latter was a dark chocolate cake served by drizzling it with dark chocolate sauce. It is soul satisfying for a dark chocolate lover! But had it been served warm then it would have tasted better.
Well we always have a lil misconception when the name says streat food as in from the streets of Mumbai or any other place. But that notion of mine was changed when I did visit this place.
The menu shows you different cuisines from about approximately 6-7 different countries starting from soups and salads and entres with a main course as well as some special desert along with it.
The seating arrangements are nice and very brightly lit as it's a total family place with more table arrangements for a party of 6 and few for party of 2-4. Usually a lot of hustle and bustle as it's a popular place among the foodie masses.
Started off with a Chinese dumpling chicken soup as there are very few options in each cuisine to be precise not more than two. It was good if you are a vivid lover of the Chinese cuisine. Just the right taste to rejuvenate the taste buds for more. 5/5 for the soup.
Then there was an entre with chicken filling cups. And it was again Chinese and though the filling was really finger licking good the edible cup part was average. 4/5 for this.
The second entre was a Mexican starter chicken tostadas and that dish left me asking for more. Full marks for this 5/5
Third one a satay chicken from the Japanese cuisine with peanut sauce not too spicey and a 3/5 dish gud but not great though I liked the idea of serving the dish in apna standard. Cutting chai cups.
Now after all this me and Umme were almost full but there was still a lil space for an average qty main course. We went for a Brazilian dish with prawns in it. Just rightly cooked and the taste of the sause was spicy to the right point that I loved it. 5/5 for the main course. Though my stomach was full I wished I could go for the desert, but alas we decided not to...
One more thing I really liked about this place is that they had a complete menu for tiffins so if you r an office goer and u wanna grab a break from the regular dabba y'all can go for the world cuisine tiffins with 4 different dishes though the qty would be according to the price is delicious.
I would suggest that if you wanna come here do come in a large group so y'all can try a lot of varieties... It is totally worth it.
One suggestion is they should increase the types of soups I thier menu.
Ambience 4/5.
Wait for food. Max 10 mins even though the place was all seating full.
Drinks: not for a hard liquor person as they serve mostly wine and beer. Though one CA. Try.
Food: on average 4/5.
WIR: Hell yeah when have a big group so I can try a lot more varieties that we did as of now.
