There is a popular quote by Dorothy Day - “Food for the body is not enough, there must be food for the soul.” At Thangabali, they prepare food that fills your soul in every way. We first tried their Kundapura Chicken with Neer Dosa which is a chicken curry derived from a place called Kundapura near Udupi. This curry makes up for a tasty and hearty meal when eaten with ultra soft neer dosas. The quantity of this dish was good enough for two medium eaters to share. The second combination that we tried was Fish Moilee along with Local Fat Rice. Fish Moilee is a Kerala style Fish Curry where fish is cooked in a coconut milk based gravy and spices are moderate in this dish. The absolutely refreshing taste of coconut in this curry and the texture of fat rice made this dish into the most delicious and comforting combination. We absolutely loved our meal here and will definitely return soon to try some more dishes from this restaurant.

This is a dependable place for some traditional coastal food. The prawns gassi and the mutton stew are favourites. It's also kid friendly and the customised colouring sheets they give young children is wonderful to keep them off screens. Comfortable place with comfort food at its best!
Went here with friends to try this south indian place after looking at the reviews. The place is really nice along plus the staff is really courteous. We tried prawns starters, fish fingers, potato fries, chicken sukkha, Sri Lankan lollipops, chicken chettinad along with some paratha/appams and orange/watermelon+basil mocktails. I really liked the prawns starters which I cannot recall at this point of time along with chicken sukkha. Unfortunately, after initial two dishes everything else seemed similar and nothing stood out as much. Mocktails were really nice. I wanted to give this place 3.5 stars but since I do not have that option, I'm giving it 4. Visit this place for fish delicacies.
