Mango tree
This is one more place opened at the juhu Church road area in horizon building.
The restaurant specializes in Thai cuisine.
Ambience of the place was amazing.
I had gone for lunch on a Saturday when there was a lot of bright light coming in.
The place had decent crowd coming in.
It is a place for get togethers and romantic dates as well.
The sitting was quiet good.
Now I come to the dishes I had there:
Drinks :- Thai gin cooler, Coco basil tini, smoked old fashion, Thai iced tea, orange and mint iced tea
All the drinks were very good in presentation and all had their own speciality.
In food :
1) Khanom Pak Gad phad Thai (radish cake in phad Thai sauce)
2) Gai Satay (char grilled chicken satay)
3)Som Tum Kai phot (som tum corn salad)
4)sour and spicy Tom yum scampi soup tofu phad med mamung (tofu cashewnuts)
5)nuer poo phone later (crab meat in yellow curry sauce)
6) phad Thai noodles with chicken
khoa yam (southern style rice salad with assorted condiments)
Dessert
tub Tim iron (jellied water chest nuts with coconut ice-cream "dessert"
The presentation and taste of all the items were very nice , no place to complaint
The service was also good.
I would like to visit this place again.
Food : 5/5
Service : 5/5
Decor: 5/5
P. S: The review is strictly depends on my personal experience.
This place serves excellent authentic Thai food. A must visit for people who seek fine dining. The restaurant was noisy but then thats a typical Indian trait. To yell at the top of their voices making it seem like a fish market.
Food ordered
Chicken satay
Butter garlic prawns
Tom yum prawn soup
Pineapple fried rice
Wok tossed egg noodles
Hot basil chicken
Mango sticky rice
Mango cheesecake
All excellent. Av damages per person Rs 1300 approx.
They have a private dining area for a group of about 12.
On the occasion of Good Friday, Mango Tree catered us to a nice lunch serving us some of their signature sea food dishes. They serve excellent Thai cuisine along with some lip smacking Thai inspired cocktails.
The place has ample sitting arrangements to after to large groups as well as smaller ones. Since they have these huge glass windows there's a lot of natural light to click great pictures. However the sitting near the bar is a bit under the dim light.
We started off with a few drinks namely
Thai gin cooler
Coco basil tini
Smoked old fashion
Orange and mint iced tea
The basil tini had a very soothing flavor of coconut to it whereas the cooler had a strong thai flavor. The drinks are extremely well curated keeping in mind the theme of the restaurant and also qell presented.
In food we had
Khanom pak gad phad thai
These were basically radish cakes topped with some sweet spicy sauce and topped with sprouts and chives. Even though its a vegetarian dish, I personally loved it.
Gai satay
These were traditional chicken skewers served to us with a variety of dips and actually served on a kinda grill
Som Tum kai phot
This was a corn salad which was quite refreshing to say the least as it bought a lot of flavors to the palate. It was sweet and tangy at the same moment, and made me crave for more. It was presented extremely well.
Sour and spicy tom yum scampi soup
The flavors of this dish were exceedingly well with just the right balance of spice in it and the presentation was just mind blowing as it came with a huge lobster.
Crab meat in yellow curry sauce
The crab dishes that I have had until now have been in traditional maharashtrian curries therefore they have been full of spice, so I had second thoughts while trying this one out. However I was pleasantly surprised as even though the dish had mild flavors it tasted so good.
Get some rice and you are good to go.
Phad thai noodles with chicken
They get this to you with spices and sprouts on the side and you have to mix this as per your requirement of the spice in it. The noodles were good, rich in flavor and tasted heavenly.
Khoa yum
This was southern style rice, bluish in color, with condiments which you can add according to your preferences
In desserts we had
Tub Tim iron
This was a water chestnut based dish, where the water chestnuts were soaked in beetroot water to get the pinkish tinge and then topped with coconut based ice-cream. Something new to try out for all the dessert lovers.
Mango tree is a great restaurant to have an authentic Thai meal with your family or friends
