A revolution has occurred in the popcorn industry with outlets catering solely to creating various flavors of our favorite healthy snack. Move over salted, caramel and cheese popcorns….Actually let’s keep our basic favorites intact and allow some interesting variations to them.

WOW Popcorn is one such popcorn based outlet which serves the freshest popcorn in a number of exciting flavors while leaving room for constant experimentation as well. Tiny goblet shaped glasses are used for popcorn trial tasting, the concept mostly used in ice-cream parlor’s.

I recently visited their Ghatkopar outlet, situated in the courtyard of R-city mall. Small stall with all the popcorn flavors displayed in front of you, and a corner dedicated for a photo booth.I tried out all the available flavors and here is my review for each:

1.Classic Salted
Simple and basic buttery salted popcorn. Fresh, yet not the best option to go for unless you would prefer to stay old school and classic.

2.Say Cheese
Cheese lovers favorite; However, I have never been a fan of cheese popcorn due to a strong odor of cheese that it releases, which is quite unappealing to me.
The cheese popcorn at WOW made me a fan- you won’t be able to stop having this one! ABSOLUTELY recommended.

3.Chaat Chaska
Adding an Indian touch to this American snack, a light chaat flavor could be tasted in this one.

4. Classic Sour Cream & Onion
Another recommended one, with very distinct creamy flavor with a slight sourness, exactly like the Lay’s American cream and onion flavor! In love ❤

5.Tantalizing Wasabi
An oriental piquancy can be experienced through this exotic Wasabi flavor. Interesting.

6. Mumbai Cheese Tadka
Just as it sounds, masaledaar popcorn from a seasoning of various spices and creamy cheese. If you prefer your popcorn spicy and extremely flavorful with traditional masalas, go for it!

7.Famously Caramel
The caramel and cocoamello flavours are made from a different kind of corn- mushroom corns. These corns make the the popcorn large, almost perfectly round and crispy and stay fresh for a longer time. Their caramel popcorn is coated with a generous amount of caramel paste. All of this works completely in its favour, making this an utter delight for all caramel popcorn fans.

8.Cocoamello
Unequivocally innovative and just so perfect with the sweetness of caramel, the bitterness of dark chcocolate and the crunchiness of the mushroom corn-popcorn.

The winning point of WOW popcorn apart from their incredible flavours, is the freshness of the popcorn and their major aim being customer satisfaction. The popcorn we carried home were fresh even after 2 days in their air tight box (just as they had stated)

Definitely going to be making several more visits, or ordering in for a movie night or when cravings strike. So next time you are thinking of popcorn, think of WOW.

The best place to try different flavours of popcorn had one the best popcorn chocolate caramel popcorn which was filled with a good amount of chocolate and caramel. One of the best flavours.
