Great place to have authentic South Indian food. Usually No waiting unlike most of the restaurants in this area during the weekends. The best part of this place is it has no music.. it's quiet. Ambience is good. Nice place to spend quality time with your family over lunch or dinner.
They have malgaipudi (gun powder), chutneys and best tasting sambhar. Their menu card has some great options of idly dosa and uttapam with chettinad and other flavors.
Good Veg South indian Restaurant. Huge variety of Dosa of all shape and size. We had ordered paper Dosa and loved it - as we liked the rest of the dishes ordered. Nice ambience and courteous staff. If you have Dine out app - then you can pay by dineout and get discount and cash backs too
The craving for aromatic sambhar, tangy rasam, the crisp crunch of dosas as well as the soft fluffy idli , took me to this restaurant. This place can earn the title of a veteran as it's been in the food zone of Mahavir Nagar for quite sometime and is still a very much go to place for some authentic South Indian food.
Ambience: The place is comfortable as far as seating is concerned. Their cutlery is very interesting especially their sambhar serving vessel. There's an entire wall decorated with a hoard of awards won which is really commendable.
Coming to the food part...
Thayir idli: Nice crisp fried idli served in a pool of sweet/ salty curd garnished with boondi is just awesome. I had the sweeter version and it was very yummy.
Kanchipuram idli: I am an ardent fan of this variant of idli. Here somehow I was let down. There's some room for opportunity here.
Cheese chilly uttapa: Soft and buttery utthapa topped with loads of cheese are really very filling and sure do pampered our taste buds.
Paneer Dosa: This fusion dish; has a dash of North Indian paneer bhurji rolled into the very good Sada Dosa. *A nice dish especially for the Jain foodies*
Capsicum Rawa Dosa : Although Rawa Dosa is something that we keep having quite often, I really loved the twist here. They put finally chopped capsicums in the Rawa Sada Dosa and you can't just stop munching on it.
They have an interesting collection of chutneys to accompany our food. The sambhar tastes very authentic and relishable. The quantity of sambhar is abundant, still you just can't have enough of it.
Litchi Lemon Fizz: Served in a very ornate glass, this drink is awesome and I would definitely recommend it.
Freshlime Soda Sweet: An all time favorite, it is a good thirst quencher.
Pricing is okay. They get extra brownie points for the continuous flow of chutneys
Service: It's real quick and very efficient.
