So we visited to this place to have a good healthy food.
Ambience - Place was small and cosy but the Ambience was superb. On the left side there were mirror amd cycle tyres on plastic grass. On right side they hanged VEGAN and some pictures with awesome quotes.
For Ambience -8.5/10
Staff & Service - Staff was good. Well behaved. Service was also good and fast
For Staff Service 9/10
Food - We ordered Bhai Saab Chaap, Paneer Stuffed Chaap, Soya Biryani, Mojito, Masala Lemonade.
Bhai Saab Chaap was the spicest chaap i tried. If you love spicy food, try this.
Paneer Stuffed Chaap was good. Paneer was grinned and stuffed into soya. And they put malai on top. It was really good.
Soya Biryani was really good. The rice was cooked good and put on soya gravy.
Mojito classic drink and masala lemonade.
For Food 9/10
Overall Experience was good. They have very good vegan and jain option also.
Thank God for this closest friend of mine who is a Vegan and told me about this place! Chaap ki Chhap is a vegan restaurant known for their delicious dishes made from soya bean and definitely reminds us of Delhi wale chaap.
Nestled in the lane bang opposite to Westside of DN Nagar, this eatery has a not so good, manageable ambiance and a seating of 2 tables. However, if a huge group of 5-6 will come at a time, then this place would be cramped. I wasn’t convinced about this place at the first look of it but the food experience here clearly changed my mind.
Warning: Please have these dishes hot/warm. You wouldn’t like the taste of it when eaten cold.
Coming to the order:
AGHANI CHAAP (5/5)
Do yourself a favour and try a legit plate of this dish. The soya chunks were so perfectly barbecued and tossed in a super tasty gravy, they just dissolve in your mouth. DIVINE! So gorgeous that that you’ll find it hard to share.
SPECIAL NAAGIN CHAAP (4/5)
I was very curious to know the reason behind the name of this dish. So, I found out while they were barbecuing the soya bean. The soya bean is placed in the grilling rod in curvy shape just like the snakes move. Hence, the name. This dish was very well done, with Indian masalas used, this dish imparted a ton of flavors without being heavy.
MACHHLI ZAMEEN KI (3/5)
I was very keen on trying this dish. However, it simply failed to impress my taste buds. Maybe one of the reason could be that I had it cold. I found it very chewy and the taste was nothing extraordinary
SOYA BIRYANI (5/5)
The biryani they served wasn’t traditional but it couldn’t be more pleasing to the palate. It had the right amount of spice and flavor, with a unique blend of mashed soya. The rice was well cooked and it was exciting and startling in texture and flavor, full scores for this dish.
All the dishes are served with onion as accompaniment. Do taste these dishes with onions, it gives a whole new dimension to the dish. This humble eatery is totally value for money and is must visit if you and your friends/family feel like trying something new.
