One must try their Garhwali Thali. The owner is welcoming, very friendly, and can customize food as per your dietary needs. We stayed at Bataghat and the restaurant is about 15 minutes walk. So after a heavy lunch (we overate as the food was delicious), all we needed was a short walk, and nothing could beat the walk in that picturesque, calm landscape on a sunny afternoon in December. The view overlooking the hills/mountains is equally mesmerizing. Many celebrities seemed to have visited the restaurant. I would highly recommend it to everyone wanting to try local authentic food in a quiet environment away from the chaos of a city.
A great place to try local authentic cuisine. The view here is gorgeous and the owners and staff are very attentive and friendly. The food came out amazing. The Stinging Nettle Kebabs are a must try (be cautious about the sauce they're served with - extremely spicy!)
Visit the Jabarkhet nature reserve for a walk and then come on down to this beautifully set place.
We ate the Garhwali thali (nettle saag, soup, mixed dal, potato sabzi, raita, bhang ki chutney, red rice and rotis). Really filling, reallllly tasty! Ashu (the proprietor) is extremely warm and took the time to introduce us to the local ingredients. Don't miss the nettle tikki! (be prepared for a very long walk from the char dukaan side of Landour, or take a cab). Also the view from the cafe is outstanding.
