To be honest, I hadn't heard about the Grog Head (having spent most of my time in North and West Delhi) until a friend threw a party there.
My reaction - this place should be more mainstream (maybe it is and I've been ignorant?) !
1. Location
Above the Hyundai Showroom in Block A of Green Park.
Closest Metro Station - Green Park
(Unsure about the parking situation as I took the metro.)
2. Seating and Ambiance
First thing you'll notice is that the place is HUGE !! It's sprawled over two floors (the upper being a partially covered terrace) and has multiple seating areas with a section set apart for dancing. It also has an open deck for smoking.
The ambiance is pretty chill and hep ("no one writes hep anymore" - well, I'm old-school :P) with a decent music setup.
3. Service
The staff is helpful and the service was prompt.
4. Food
I must make a declaration here - a LOT of food was ordered and there were quite a few dishes that instantaneously vanished by the time I had put my phone back after taking a picture (talk about a hungry group of people!).
I can, however, vouch for the fact that everything I did manage to eat tasted fresh and had the right balance of flavours. Nothing we ordered was bad, and this in itself is a compliment when you consider the sheer variety of things that were served !
What DO I remember eating? Dessert, of course!
The meal was concluded with CHOCOLATE WALNUT BROWNIE and BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE. Both were made well, had a good texture and were high on flavour. A perfect end to a delicious meal.
Conclusion:
The Grog Head is a definite go-to for a meal or a party. (I'm planning to go there on a weekend evening to check out the party scene.)
Pro-tip: Ask the bartender for one of their signature cocktails - it's usually something from the menu, made with an added flair of genius.
Good food and good drinks menu. Nice variety of food and drinks. Good ambience, amazing experience
Very nicely themed bar/pub. Good for small group parties.
