Always wanted to try this place, but the long queue got me looking for other options.
Today finally, I resolved queue or not am here, and I was not disappointed.
The staff is courtesy, that's rare in the city, lately.
They are well informed on the cusiene, even rarer.
The place itself is neat and clean with good music which is just right and thankfully you can have an conversation.
The food is delicious, the pasta with no cream, cooked in olive oil, with herb butter on the side was filling and arguably the best I have had in the recent past.
The grill chicken was sumptuous.
Finished the meal with the signature blue berry cake.
Am hooked to be a regular here.
P.S would help if you took reservations for large groups (8 or more)
This restaurant is the only one in Pune which gave me the taste of European dishes. I have been lucky to spend a good amount of time in various parts of Europe and some of the dishes just got replicated here. The restaurant manages queue quite efficiently (max 15-20 mins waiting when it is full & busy). The best part is their cheesecakes; again one of the best I have had. The staff is very friendly and they include all service tax/service charges into their dishes; this is something all restaurants should emulate. Wonderful experience!!!
Food to die for, a beautiful ambience and really good service! Definitely one of the best restaurants in Pune!
I have fallen in love with their Potato Wedges, Cous-Cous, Pink Sauce pasta and Sachertorte. I've heard that their Espresso Pannacotta is a gastronomic delight. Looking forward to eating it sometime!
I would highly recommend Le Plaisir to those who like European cuisine and desserts.
